I had been going, when former staff were there, for over 5 years. New stylist there now, took forever to get an appointment, no voicemail on their answering machine and someone actually answering phone is a rarity. Finally spoke with someone, made appointment for the following Saturday at 10:30, showed up on said appointment day and time. Salon was locked up! I waited for 40 minutes, no one showed and no one has called to explain, let alone reschedule. This is not a way to treat customers! Needless to say I won’t be darkening their doors again. Way to make a good impression Smart Style.

Positive: ProfessionalismI initially went in for a perm but because I swim 3-4 days a week, the stylist recommended I treat my hair to rid all the chlorine first. She could tell I was disappointed so after she treated my hair, which by the way felt amazing afterwards, she curled my hair for me. She didn’t have to do that little extra! I’m going to get another treatment in a few days & will be getting my perm soon after thanks to her honesty & caring demeanor! It just so happened I had some free time today and feeling at wits end with my hair. I called one salon… no openings for same day, called Smart Style and yes there was an opening. We were skeptical at first to come here but we gave it a try, now we completely regret it. To start the lady that cut my Dad’s haircut didn’t know what she was doing, she was constantly getting distracted with her friends who were coming into the store. And when my Dad wanted to get a flat top haircut the lady had to use a comb to ATTEMPT to do it properly. At the end the cut was not even close to being flat an was very uneven. DO NOT GO HERE. If you do, have zero expectations for this Walmart haircut shop. You are better off cutting your hair yourself.
