The reason this salon is always closed is that they pay promise employees a certain rate of pay and then their paychecks come in for $7.25 an hour. This happened to multiple employees and they refused to fix it. No licensed professional is going to work for that. Do not support businesses that don’t take care of their employees. All of the retail products are expired and have been there before the pandemic.

Got a haircut from Mary a couple of days ago. She wasn’t rude, but I wouldn’t say she went above and beyond with her customer service. I felt something was off, but I ignored my instincts. I asked for a bob and she pretty much did the bare minimum for what I payed for. Again, she wasn’t rude, but I almost felt like she just wanted to get my haircut over with. Or maybe it’s just that she doesn’t know how to work with curly hair. She didn’t take her time at all and didn’t seem like she was checking if her cutting was even. It didn’t turn out bad, but I’ve definitely been to way better places.

If I could leave ZERO stars I would!!! It’s baffling how Mary is even still employed especially how every negative review is about her service and here’s one to add to it. My sister with very thick hair which is hard to sometimes deal with, left with a tender hurting scalp almost in tears because of the treatment she received. Mary was asked to SHAMPOO AND CONDITION her hair and she said yes on the phone when service was scheduled and then when my two sisters arrived she said no probably 20 times because she’s getting off soon and didn’t want to and didn’t feel like it because she’s tired. And then proceeded to say how “after combing my sister’s hair she was too exhausted to do much else and refused.” She made sure to say she’s been doing hair for 30+ years but gets exhausted after combing someone’s hair? That’s insane.

Got the worst haircut I’ve ever had in my life from Mary. I was ignored both times when I walked in, nobody wanted to cut my hair so I was “squeezed in” even though Mary gave me an appt. She complained I was too short for her chair and never asked if I was okay with the length. I question her skills and whether she has a problem serving women of color. This is a real review and my experience was legitimate. I should have run far far away when my gut told me something was wrong. I did not pay for the haircut even though I offered to, so no I did not go for a free (terrible) haircut.
