This was my first time going to this Salon last Sunday. I went in to get a relaxer retouch which was done by Rachel. I arrived on time and she serviced me quickly. She asked questions before putting chemicals on my head far as if I have a sensitive scalp. As she was doing my hair I got an old school vibe that I was use too from when I was a teenager getting my relaxer done. She gave me the full works that I’ve been missing all these many years. I was very pleased with my end results and not to mention she had me laughing the whole time there. I appreciated her customer service and the service she did on my hair. I had a bad experience with another smartstyle salon and she gave me back hope with the brand and I will definitely be back again.

Booked online on Saturday for a Sunday haircut. Got a cancelation email 45 minutes before appointment. Called to inquire why. Lady who answered was rude and ignorant of the online appointment system and told me that “it is impossible to book an appointment 24 hours in advance. ” Maybe it would behoove the owners to correctly train workers on how to sync the online appointments with their other calendars. Or have the online calendar to sync with the store calendar as this seems to be an ongoing issue but no need to be rude to potential customers.

What’s the point of having the option to schedule an appointment, but when you call to see if they are still going to to able to service you with the appointment that you scheduled they tell you that they are to busy?!?!This is the second time that this has happened. The lady I spoke to today didn’t let me get what I had to say out good before she kept saying “no, they were to busy or packed”. I’m glad i called because I would have made a blank trip and would have been more upset than what I am now.!! Smart styles used to be my go-to place for when I needed to simply get a wash and a style, but not anymore. I will not try to schedule an appointment with you all again just to waste my time. If I could rate zero stars then i would because ya’ll don’t deserve a 1 star.

Critical: ProfessionalismRachel the manager’s Customer service was horrible. I have been going to smart styles for years and today was the absolute worst treatment. Rachel who is also the manager told me that smart styles is appointment only since covid 19 and we just walked in 2 weeks ago with no appointment. She was extremely disrespectful. She ask me what I wanted. I said a wash and set. She first said she only had time to wash. I said ok we will accept a wash only and I will record you letting us walk out with her hair wet. Then she said she refuse service. Instead of offering to schedule us a different day she says she didn’t have time and criticize my grandbaby’s hair in front of her. I wanted to walk in as the store just opened. There were no customers in the store. And the person opening claimed a customer was coming in later and wanted me to make an appointment. But she could have cut my hair quickly. So I went to the salon beside Publix. Also she didn’t open the store on time. I was there prior to opening time.
