The lady that cut my hair is awesome. She was very nice and done a great job. However, trying to get in for a haircut has gotten very crazy. They are not allowing walk-ins anymore. Which was so convenient for my work schedule. When you call to speak to them they sound a little harsh. I know they can be very busy. I wanted a wash and haircut. The lady on the phone said they could do that much but would not have time to style it. I didn’t ask for a styling. She made it sound like they would be in a drastic hurry. I am putting a 5 star rating only because the lady that cut my hair made the whole visit worth it. Not the lady that answered my phone call. She can go learn how to talk to someone professionally on the phone. Also need to fix the online appointments. They seem to not work as I made an online appointments and when I called it did not show up on their schedule. So said the girl that answered. You can thank the one that cut my hair for your 5 star ⭐ rating.

The worst experience of my life. 3 weeks later I am still in tears. I went in with hair well blow my shoulders and came out with hair well above my shoulders when all I needed were the bad ends trimmed off and shape up the layers a bit. The stylus did not listen at all she cut my hair straight across removing all of the layers. I guess that was her way of blending the layers. That was it I walked out of there with 5 in off of my hair. I returned a few days later and spoke to the manager who tried to fix it and all she did was say well I spoke to the girl. That doesn’t help me one bit

I’m devastated. I kept my hair grow for more than a year, I wanted huge change and have perms to get curly hair. She cut my hair and than said we dont do perms here, I was like what ??? I showed her picture and told her what I want before that, and she was like yea ok and tell me this after she cut my hair. Worst experience ever 🙁

SmartStyle salon has a client for life, their service from beginning to end was phenomenal!! I hadn’t been to a hair salon in awhile due to me having locs but I’m so glad I followed my gut instinct and went with them!! Erika was very attentive to my hair and scalp needs and she did an AMAZING job with cutting my hair, I walked out feeling like a supermodel!! I definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a great hair experience.

When I moved from CT to SC I was very nervous to find the right hairdresser but I was lucky enough to find Gladys. I have now been going to her for several years and there’s not a time I have left her chair unhappy. I can be very picky but she has great patience with me and always gives me any style or color I am looking for. If you’re visiting or live in the area don’t hesitate to go see Gladys…she is the best in town!

I was so nervous yet excited today when I walked in because I wanted something much different than my norm. My hair is usually very curly and about midway down my back and all one length. I decided I wanted to go shoulder length and have a sort of cut that really gives a lot of body an lift but framed my face. When I showed Mrs Gladys a couple of pictures of what I had in mind, she jumped right on it. After working her magic in an hour and a half later, I wound up with the most beautiful highlights and gorgeous cut that turned out even prettier than I even imagined! I was so worried because a lot of people who are not familiar with curly hair do not quite know how to handle it. I would most certainly recommend her services to anyone!

Critical: Professionalism, PunctualityMy daughter had her appointment at 11:00. We arrived 10 minutes early. We were told to take a seat that someone would be with us in a few minutes. Then after about another 10 minutes we were then told it would be awhile longer. Then a woman walked in and asked to be worked in. They took her ahead of my daughter. I didn’t want to disappoint her so as I had been promising her for about a month to take her to get her hair cut. I got online and found a salon that would take us as walk-ins with no wait time. Plus bonus I got to get a haircut myself. So you people at your SmartStyle Salon lost out. Not only did you lose our business for today but any future appointments as well as I WILL NOT be recommending this place to any of my friends or family. I loved it so much that I returned several months later for a trim and requested the same stylist. I said I wanted to keep the same cut but go about an inch shorter and keep some volume. Instead the stylist cut layers all through my hair and feathered them out. The layers go as short as up to the top of my ears. It’s a complete mess and looks like some inexperienced person took a pair of scissors to my head as a joke. I loved it so much that I returned several months later for a trim and requested the same stylist. I said I wanted to keep the same cut but go about an inch shorter and keep some volume. I WILL NOT I REPEAT WILL NOT EVER GO BACK HERE AGAIN!!!! I had Kori and she did not do what I asked. I want maybe about an inch or two cut and it ended up being above my shoulders. Mind you my hair was close to the middle of my back. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE!!!!
