I went try get haircut this morning 12/292019 and the guy had no idea what he was doing. It’s a very simple haircut. Not complicated. I had to leave and go somewhere so they could fix it. The lady at the register did not care one bit what he was doing. Wendy used to cut my hair. Definitely will not go back. They should be ashamed this guy is cutting hair having no clue what he is doing.

We had a wonderful experience at this salon. Sandra and Alana are both personable, knowledgable and quick. Usually, my mother, my daughter and myself go in at the same time. My hair has a relaxer, their hair does not. These ladies tackle it and have all 3 of us in and out in no time. This will be our go to place from now on.

ONLY place I let touch my hair! I used to go to the one in Hillsborough, but they were super busy one day and referred me to Mebane – best referral I have ever had! I drive quite a distance (from Durham) to see Sandra and Alana. They are both super fabulous ladies who both cut and color my hair exactly as I request offer their professional opinions of how to ensure I have the best cut and/or color ever! I truly value their opinion and expertise! I will never go anywhere else again – unless that is these ladies leave, in which case I will follow them. 😉

I didn’t even get a service done here. I looked at the website where it said that they are open until 10. I step in the door at 5:30 because I wanted to get a color and read that they accepted walk ins. From the back of the salon an employee asks what I needed. So at that point she has now included in our conversation everyone else that is in the salon, not just she and I. So I said that I hoped I could get a color. She told me that they cut off colors at 5:30. Lucky me right? So at this point I’m being watched by everyone in the salon, and I am feeling a little embarrassed, like what I just asked for was unreasonable at the time. I then turn to leave as she has said nothing else to me. She is still at the back of the salon, running her hands through someone’s hair. She has not bothered to come over to where I am or apologize for the bad timing. That’s fine though, I shouldn’t expect more from a smart style. As I turn to leave though, she adds that they are open tomorrow but they cut off colors at 2:30. Oh don’t worry, I will not be back. So instead I am going to a great clips in the same shopping center. I can see why whenever I walk past a smart style, there is rarely anyone in there. I understand that color takes longer and maybe my choice to get my hair colored was last minute but I still felt that if she couldn’t be bothered to stop what she was doing to come over and ask what I needed then she should have said, please wait I will be with you in a minute. The whole thing was embarrassing for me and I have learned my lesson. Thanks anyhow Smart Style
