My wife went in for a $20.00 “haircut.” She tried them one time earlier this year and was not satisfied with the results as the cut was uneven from side to side and layering was not real smooth. She thought she would give them another try. This time, the cut was more even. However, upon payment, she found out that the stylist had asked her if she wanted it blow-dried. That seemed wise as the last time, she did not have her to do that and she did not want to drive home and be dissatisfied. What she did not know what that that service, which reveals the accuracy of the cut, is not free. Upon payment, her price jumped from $20.00 to $37.00. She paid it and afterward told me of her shock and displeasure. I asked to speak to the person as was informed that the manager had cut her hair. I waited for her and asked to speak with her about a problem. She led me to the cash register, stood behind it and asked how she could help. I told her about what happened. She told me that they were not required to tell the customers that a service, was chargeable and what the charge would be. She then pointed to the board and said all our prices are posted behind the register. I replied, those prices are not available when the service is being offered and the customer does not know if what is being offered is an add-on or part of the cut. I said that if a stylist wants to offer an additional service, the customer should be told this is an additional service and how much the price would be. Her comment to that was they, as employees, are not required to tell the customer these things. I told her that that is a poor business practice. At that point, she put her hand up in my face, as a “stop” command and said, “I will not tolerate that attitude in my business.” I simply said, “no attitude!” I will see you on social media. She said, “That is fine.” So, here I am. The bottom line for us is that my wife, who was very upset by the “business practice” said, “I will not go back. I guess this is the world we live in. After over 40 years in the business world as an employee and as a manager and business owner, I am not prepared for the new way of doing business.

Worst cut in over 40 years … cutter (hesitate to call her a stylist) did not even bother to look at the cut from the front. Uneven on the sides (not intended), stray hairs left uncut. The phone seems to be always busy during the time that they are working — impossible to make appointment. They take appointments and walk ins, but seeming cannot manage them, so it was very rushed. Cutter grumbled a lot.
