Awful! Took my son in and told the “stylist” we always have his hair cut in a pompadour style. The woman clearly had no idea what she was doing didn’t fade it and had to be told to trim the top multiple times. It ended up looking more like a bad bowl cut than what we asked for. Had to take my son to another salon to fix what smartstyle screwed up. Don’t be fooled by the cheap prices, they are that low for a reason.

Zero stars ! I went to the salon I was the only one there and asked for my very light platinum blonde hair to have a silvery tone to it and gave a picture of what I wanted and I wanted to cut it aline style The lady said she can get it there no problem with how light my hair was already than i was told this would cost 130 . long story short 4 hours later my hair was green, dark grey, orange and very dry and my sweater had hair dye on it and was soaking wet! I refused after I seen the color that I would let them cut my hair . I was literally in tears and shaking she said her boss would fix it for me if I scheduled but that it would need (cpr ) hair color striper . I said I don’t want to pay until its fixed but she said i have to pay atleast $58 now ! I did just so i can leave but this was the worst place ! DONT GO HERE !!!!

If I could give no star I would the lady named tiffany did my hair cut and messed it up on purpose after I told her I wanted the top trimmed also not just the back part. I think she wasn’t trained because she was afraid to use the scissors instead of the clippers. She literally cut a landing strip down the center of my head and didnt even try to blend it in. She was complaining about how she was hungry since the beginning of the hair cut. I wouldn’t go to this place ever again unless its to go chew out management for allowing a person with not training or it may just be pure ignorance on the “stylist”.

I wish i could give zero stars. This place was absolutely horrible. I went in today to get a golden ombre. And walked out with harsh lines, and pinky orange hair. When i say i was devestated, im not kidding. Worst experience ive ever had with my hair. I could have killed my hair like that at home. Now I have to go buy some hair color at Sallys to fix this mess, after I already spend 90$ at Smartstyle. I will never go back there. And I really suggest you dont either.

Place was empty, woman could barely stand up from hurt back and even asked ME to pu.p the chair up for her(She was in so much pain she said) my son’s hair is chopped. Looked ok at the time, the water dried and by the time I got home I realized how bad it actually is. So upset, even gave that place a second chance and still horrible service. AJ’s Barber will forever be my business, stay clear from Wal-Mart hair cuts!!
