I’ve been going to Smartstyles for some time. I’ve not had many complaints. You get what you pay for. My issue is poor management. I scheduled an appointment at 5:30pm and showed up 25 minutes early to check in. It’s a 20 minute drive. They proceeded to tell me that there was a booking at 5:30 and I would have to wait till 6pm. That’s a no go. Had a kid basketball game to attend, thus scheduling an appointment. Hopefully whoever is scheduled at 530 shows up. Otherwise they’ve lost two customers.

I have a lot of hair and the lady who did my hair seemed to be in a rush, I paid $100 just for top highlights and the color isn’t even up to my roots, I would of preferred to be put with someone who didn’t rush just because I have a lot of hair, my highlights already look grown out.

Excellent service. My haircut consists of nothing more than shaving what little hair I still have so I cannot offer much insight on the quality of service if you are seeking something more complicated. However, the hairstylists are cordial and the prices are reasonable. Even if your haircut requires more skill than mine, I think this place is worth trying at least once.

I read the reviews before going and Im glad I ended up with Chantel. She was extremely nice and listened to every request I made. My haircut looks great. There was also another stylist there, I didn’t get her name, but she cut an awesome logo on the side of a kids head, and everyone was impressed. Overall great experience. Haircut

Took my nephew up here to get his hair cut. This is located inside of WALMART in belle vernon. My nephew, from out of state, had not had a hair cut since probably Last summer when he visited. So he had a Whole head of hair, actually it almost resembled a Mullet! I called ahead and made the appointment. They were able to see him just 2hr after I called. The place was pretty packed, there were Lots of ppl just standing around, or sitting around waiting. There was only maybe 3 stylists there, even tho they have lots of chairs and stations. The stylist we were scheduled with was very kind. Had way too much energy, she hardly could sit still. Lol. But she was good with my Nephew whose 13y old. A few things, and the reason I gave it 4 stars and not 5, was I think they stylist here are pretty Basic when it comes to their talents. My nephew wanted 3 simple zig zag lines on the side of his head, into the fade like the kids are doing these days. And the stylist couldn’t do it. She did ask one of her other coworkers to do the lines, which that stylist said she could do a basic 3 lines on the side. But couldn’t do the simple zigzag pattern. Another thing, was the lady who cut his hair, it didn’t look anything like the photo he showed them. NOT EVEN ALITTLE!! She basically cut all the length off the top and faded it super short on the sides! The picture was very long hair on the top, and a long fade on the sides. They haircut didn’t look bad, its just not anywhere close to what he was asking for. Another thing was, she was finished with his cut in 10 min. But then we had to wait another half hour for the other lady to come over n put the 3 little lines in his fade, which took a whole 2 min.

After trying 4 other salons in 1 day, I finally came to SmartStyle. I showed Krista want I wanted and told her I was flexible with cut and color. She told me to sit down. I felt like I was getting my hair done by a super close friend! These girls are amazing and were all helping each other. I walked out with hair I loved! And just in time for my birthday!
