This was my first time getting my haircut by a professional since 2018. I went to Sherry, and I’m so glad I did! I have very dry, thick curly hair, so I get nervous about who works on it. She gave me a shampoo and deep conditioning treatment (for only $10 more you’d be crazy not to get it), asked questions and listened to me about how I maintain and wear my hair, and gave me a cut that would work best for my hair type and life style.

I have visited this salon twice and have not been disappointed. I initially came in last December (2021) for a short cut due to hair loss from COVID. Sherry Dunham cut my hair both times, and did a wonderful job. She is very professional and kind. She gave me wonderful haircuts that are very easy to maintain. The salon is clean and orderly. I’m very unsatisfied with my experience. The hairdresser did a very sloppy job. I came in with many inches of dead and split ends and I asked for all to be cut off. She gave me a nice length but it was all choppy at the bottom and it looks like I have really bad split ends, wayyyy worse than what I had going there. My mum asked what she could do that would cover the little baby hairs and she said that a set of bangs would be about the only thing that she could do. With that being said we decided to go with bangs. She asked if I wanted to commit to having full bangs or side swept bangs like hers and I confidently chose side swept because I thought that things couldn’t be worse…. I was very wrong. She gave me side swept bangs and it was really short short in some places and really long in others, I asked if she could even it out and kinda of make it have more of an edge so it looks nicer but she did the opposite. Now I have half a set of bangs running down the middle of my face! She told me to straighten out the bangs so that it gets trained to go to the side. When I got home I put on my glasses to see what she had done to my head and I realized all the damage that she had done. She made me look like an emo Shetland pony! ( my hair is dark blue so it really makes me look terrible) . I tried to straighten out the bangs like she had told me and then I really saw how bad the haircut was. It was so utterly ridiculous and disturbing how bad the haircut was that I think I was better off cutting my own hair. I think any student at boces could do a better job than her.
