Rose is a genius! I went in with a butchered mess that another place did to me. I explained what I wanted but understand if it doesn’t look like the pic after the nightmare I showed up with..she looked it over and went to town on it. My loser ex took my daughter in for her first haircut without talking to me. There were some uneven parts (being 3, that’s understandable). The manager was very nice about getting her back in immediately to fix the cut and to put notes into the system to reflect never to cut her bangs again. She’s in gymnastics and cannot have bangs, and needs her hair at a length that can be put into a ponytail. I wasn’t kind in the call as I was very upset that her bangs were cut (as well as her long, beautiful hair now being shoulder length), but they showed a lot of patience and compassion. My ex deciding to use my daughter to get me upset was not their fault, but they did everything within their ability to make it right. Thank you.

If you mess up someone’s hair to the point where they are very visually upset you shouldn’t charge them full price let alone anything. Go to cosmetology school and learn how to do hair or DONT DO HAIR RIDICULOUS.

I have no idea where to even begin. Usually I get my hair cut at SmartStyle and it’s super good. This time, I am horrified. I get my hair cut the same way every time I go, except this time I wanted it shoulder length and my layers touched up. This request is an inch or two shorter than my typical hair cut as my hair is curly so I didn’t want it too short. My stylist (who never told me her name; she threw her back out, has got grey hair, glasses, her hair is curly ish, closest chair to the sinks) was distracted by her daughter at first. She then lobbed off a chunk of my hair before washing it, after washing it she cut it to the length I wanted and started doing layers. She started ranting about how terrible her daughter is, then she cut some more length off, then some more, and now I’m left with some weird mullet thing which I can’t style or make look good at all that’s chin length. I haven’t been able to call to complain because I’ve been in tears all night. My hair is now stuck in the awkward stage and I have to ruin all my natural curls because it looks kind of okay straight (not really but I can try to work with it). I’m literally mortified. Most people would take one look at Walmarts Smart Style Salon and assume the service to be discount like a lot of the items sold in the store. They would be doing themselves a disservice, because this place is Top Notch. The three women working the day I had my 2 foot dread sheared off were friendly, funny, talkative, and professional. I had lost total control of my hair and my hairdresser had to clip, cut, wash, condition, then clip and cut more to get me back to the way I was before I grew my hair out. I recommend this place without hesitation and plan to utilize them for all my future haircuts.

I called an hour ahead, got a reservation at 11am, got there at 11 and was checked in, then waited 15 minutes for all three stylists to be done. They all in turn took other customers. I finally left after 30 minutes because I had other things to do.
