I have been a customer of Slay Hair Studio for many years. I have always gone to Erin, the owner, so I can’t speak to the other stylists, but I have faith that they are also awesome because Erin is THE BEST. When I lived abroad, I waited to get my hair cut in Bloomsburg because Erin has never done me wrong. I have asked for many different cuts and all-over color for about five years now and it’s perfect every time. Also if you’re lucky, her cute dog will sit on your lap during your appointment and it’s amazing. Highly recommend!!

I walked into this establishment wanting to talk to someone about a consultation. I had blue color on 2 parts of my hair, told the girl everything I’d done to my hair previously and told her all I wanted was to get the blue color out of my hair and wanted to go back to my natural brown hair with some small blonde highlights (if she could. I told her it was okay if she couldn’t). She said that would be possible and we scheduled an appointment for a few weeks later. I went in the day of my appointment and the energy inside was off. The girl doing my hair barely even spoke to me the 4 hours I was there. All she had done was BLEACH the blue parts of my hair (which you could probably guess, turned green) THREE times, wash my hair twice (which she seemed annoyed about), and sent me on my way with a bill of $200.00. I left the salon with green hair (I was too nervous to say anything because I didn’t want to sound like a Karen) and sobbed the whole way home. Then afterwards I went to Walmart and bought a $9 bottle of color remover. I went home and put that on my hair and all the green came out. Then I went to Sally’s and bought a $15 bottle of brown hair dye and dyed it back to my natural color. I could’ve done it myself from the jump, but I thought I’d treat myself to a day at the salon and it backfired. That was my first time ever going to a, “professional salon” and it ruined my entire experience. I don’t think I will ever go to a salon again.

I got highlights done by Marisa and I have never felt more confident. She made sure that we were on the same page and gave me exactly what I wanted better than I could have ever imagined. Slay is hands down the best salon around. They are professional and give you 5 star treatment. They take their time to get your color, cut and style just like you want it. I’ve been to numerous hair salons, but I wasn’t committed to a single place for various reasons. It wasn’t until I came to Slay that I knew I found my salon for life. The staff at Slay is not only courteous and knowledgeable, but they go above-and-beyond for every client that walks through the door. I regularly see Marisa, who is nothing short of a Hair Wizard. She gets my color/cut perfect every time and even gives me tips/tricks/samples to keep my hair healthy in between visits. I 10/10 recommend Slay to anyone who is ready to discover their salon for life.
