I have never felt comfortable at a nail salon than I do here at Sky Nail Spa. I was introduced to the dip powder manicure here which has changed my nail game! Nail appointment are always on time and are open to schedule you in when there is availability. Lily, Steven, Kim and Karla do an amazing job with their nail art and always meet the expectation of what I ask for. Absolutely my favorite nail salon in Brownsville! The staff is so friendly and remembers their clients. I have never felt comfortable at a nail salon than I do here at Sky Nail Spa. I was introduced to the dip powder manicure here which has changed my nail game! Nail appointment are always on time and are open to schedule you in when there is availability. Critical: Professionalism, ValueThia was my first time in this establishment so I will start off with what went well. Staff was really nice and the lady who did my nails made sure to ask my preferences throughout the experience. The shop was also pretty clean. Also, we didn’t have an appointment and just walked in and they were able to attend to us right away. My manicure looked pretty good and was nearly done. Now on to the things that I didn’t like.First, the women working all had very long acrylic nails which wouldn’t be a problem except that both my friend and I experienced the nails of the 2 ladies that attended to us, continuously jabbing into us during our mani/pedis.Second, the ladies who did our nails took personal phone calls while doing our manicure and pedicure. I just feel there is something unprofessional about taking multiple personal phone calls while attending to a client.Third, the design I chose for my toes was not the design I got. The lady doing my pedicure honestly didn’t seem to know how to properly do the design and if I am being honest, I do believe she tried her best. But if a customer is paying for a service and you don’t feel comfortable with the design they choose, it is better to let them know. The first attempt at the design ended up looking pretty bad while the second try ended up looking decent, but it just wasn’t what I wanted. So I ended up with one toe looking decent and the other one being messed up which brings me to my last point.Fourth, I got shellac and by the time I got home, the polish on the other big toe with the design was already peeling. I knew it looked off and a little sloppy in the shop but thought I was just being too picky and then I took a closer look when I got home and realized the polish was lumpy and had already started coming off.Services: Nail art, Pedicure, Gel manicuresThia was my first time in this establishment so I will start off with what went well.
