This is the worst salon to go to.. if you want heat damage and your hair smelling like burnt hair, then go ahead. Go to this salon if you don’t care about the health of your hair and you want to suffer from heat damage and stuck with the smell of burnt hair. I regret ever getting a my hair done at this place. I had to cut 4inchs or even more of heat damage off my hair, just that I don’t walk around with fried hair ends. My whole head smells really bad and I washed it multiple times. I even tried baking soda paste and the burnt smell is still there. Trust me. I’m living in regrets. Just giving you all a heads up

I have done my hair at this salon only twice before today. They are suppose to open at 9 am. I called and was told to come in at 10:30am to do my relaxer. When I got there at 10:30… the front desk person says that I should have made an appointment because the stylist has a life and things to do and if there are no appointments in the book then she won’t come in. If you are going to say “walk ins welcomed” then someone needs to be there to accept the walk ins. Otherwise change your hours or change to “appointments only.” As a business owner myself, I am very busy and don’t like to make appointments because I never know what my day is going to look like so I normally end up cancelling, so walk in salons work better for me. I thought this was one, but I guess I was wrong. Today I had to do my hair elsewhere as a walk in. You won’t keep clients with this kind of business practice. If your business says “walk in welcomed” then a stylist should always be present to receive the walk ins.

This is the first Dominican Salon I’ve gone to that ACTUALLY listened and delivered exactly what I wanted. I asked for a cut with a lot of layers (I have fine curly hair, and layers give me that full look I love), and a caramel balayage. I also let Nelly know that my hair was virgin and that I wore it curly all the time, so she made sure to use a low volume developer. Its been almost 2 months, and I’m still getting compliments on my hair. I love the cut, I love the color, and I love that my curl pattern remained the same after the coloring process. The ladies there are also very friendly and funny, and Tuti’s coffee is bomb! I will be returning for a haircut/color touch-up, when the time comes.

Positive: Cleanliness, Professionalism, QualityI got turned down by 3 hair salons when i showed them the Balayage color i wanted because they said it took so long .finally i came across Sky Dominican Salon and as soon as i walked in i had a really good feeling . It was Clean and really pretty . they were really nice and welcoming unlike other salons i’ve been too .It’s also right by my house which i love !!I got service from Nelly’s daughter i hate how i did not get her name , she did a amazing job on me and my moms hair .it was a bit pricey but i understand that if you want something done Correct and High Quality it comes with a high price .Nelly also did my eyebrows and she did such a good job , i will be coming here to do my eyebrows and haircuts from now on .I recommend to anyone!!! Been here a few times to get the same service done and each time I check out the price keeps changing an extra $10-15. Also if your not one of their friends be prepared to wait all day while they serve them even if you’re there first . I kept giving them a try because it was nearby but I definitely won’t be back

Critical: Professionalism, PunctualityI called to do a walk in and was told that it was only by appointments today so I asked if there were any times available and after they gave the phone to a 3rd person I was told yes they have an appointment available for 445pm. I got there at 440pm and at 615 I walked out looking like this because for an hour after getting my hair washed I sat in a chair waiting for my hair to be done with no update from anyone in the salon about why I was just sitting there waiting. They finally my hair was started to be blow dried and after doing the piece that’s straight in my picture the stylist WALKED AWAY WITHOUT SAYING ANYTHING and was walking around talking and doing what she pleased without a word to me. I got up and left, I will NEVER use here again. They’re VERY UNPROFESSIONAL and definitely do not care about your time and NO they were not busy.
