Went in there for the first time! First of all wanna say how clean is the place, the nail stations and restrooms are so clean and hygienic. I showed an inspo for nail and the person picked put exactly same color. Had an amazing manicure and came back fully satisfied! Will definitely go again

I feel so embarrassed to leave such a negative review but I’m just posting what I experienced honestly. It was nice to see that it was very busy for a Sunday evening. My friend got a $15 manicure and I had to wait 30 minutes before I was able to get a pedicure. They asked me which one I wanted and handed me a services menu I was delighted to see that there was a basic $30 pedicure which was perfect as I take very good care of my feet and don’t have any calluses. I noticed the young man set the timer for the massage and he had to keep getting up and walking away during the massage, now, I know a lot about massage therapy, and yes, of course, a leg massage during a pedicure isn’t the same as a professional massage therapy/ therapeutic massage but like, why not? Right? So, I was taught that you never take your hands off your client during the massage because it does something in the brain that is alerting and is counterproductive to relaxation. Okay so there, that’s one thing I wasn’t impressed with.

The new owners from about a year ago took over this nail salon. Amy and James have set the bar for cleanliness, attention to detail and friendly salon technicians. All are very good, however, if you can book Misha for your nails. She is quick but is a perfectionist and is by far the best free hand nail painter. The prices are similar to other salons, I love coming here because I feel pampered by the time I leave, my nails look amazing and last. I usually stretch out my appointments to every 3 weeks and my polish is never cracked.

I was admittedly skeptical about this place because they’ve had a new management sign up for so long, and I couldn’t believe a great nail place was literally half a mile from my house. Thankfully I was so wrong. I made an appointment through Facebook messenger and they got back to me promptly for an appointment for gel color the next day.

Got a pedicure here 2 months ago and I’m STILL recovering from the ingrown nails the woman gave me! She cut my nails so far down the sides of my nails instead of straight across, one of my nails is still infected TWO MONTHS later. She didn’t do a base coat, and only did one coat of polish. Her massage made me squeamish, she was just lightly caressing my skin, not a massage at all. It just showed me that she really didn’t know what she was doing. No one was supervising this person who obviously had never done a pedicure on her own before. I should have said something there but I was so upset and I just wanted to go home. This was my “gift” for my birthday and I wanted to cry.

My 2 stars are only for the girl that did my nails recently. The owners are amazing but the girl that did my nails filed my natural nails down so bad, a month later they are still cracking and look torn apart. If you’re going there, go to Amy or her husband.

Got my first pedicure by Misha and my boyfriend got a gel extension for his toenails by James and we were so comfortable, no judgement at all. The nail extensions were very well done and the pedicure was very relaxing and well done. Sky Blue Nail Spa is a very comfortable and clean business, especially with covid going on. We absolutely recommend this place.
