We are a unique boutique medical spa in the heart of La Jolla Village. Physician owned and operated, we provide a uniquely personalized experience for our specialty procedure, awake liposuction and Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL), as well as Botox and dermal fillers. The owner, Dr. Steve Torres, specializes in awake liposuction as well as liposculpting skinnier patients. He personally does all major procedures, including all injectables.

I’m not even sure where to start. There were so many things that set Dr Torres, his wife and staff apart. Scheduling my surgery was a breeze, they made me so comfortable and calm during the surgery that to tell you the truth I don’t even remember much of it except that I was totally at ease. After the procedure any question or concern I had was answered so quickly. The support I received was unmatched. I’m still in the healing phase but I can already tell that my results will be just as good as the care I received.

If I could give Dr Torres and his staff 10 stars I would. What I find most important and comforting about Dr T is his restraint. He is a skilled craftsman and looks at each person as an individual. He doesn’t recommend services that are unnecessary or over the top. I asked about a particular service, that I know they offer, and he explained to me why it wasn’t a good idea and why he didn’t recommend that for me. I am confident that he will always enhance the features I have and not try to make something out of nothing. I will not go anywhere else.

I really Can’t say enough good things! Let me start off by saying how amazing the staff, Doris, and especially Se Torres is. From the moment I walked in the doors I felt the love and care. There was a little hiccup with my scheduled date, won’t go into specifics but they made up for it 1000 times over. I am so great full and recommend anyone who is interested in any procedure he offers especially a BBL. It’s nerve wrecking and I won’t lie it has it moments where you feel pain but it’s so tolerable and I have close to a zero tolerance for pain. Many other places will forget about you as soon. As you walk out the door but not Skin&skinnier. They genuinely care for you and go above and beyond to ensure you never feel alone Pre up & especially post op. You can tell Dr. Torres loves what he does and he is truly and artist and takes his time. I can’t thank you guys enough, I am so thankful and glad I made the right choice choosing Skin&Skinnier.

My experience with Skin n skinnier was great from the very beginning. They got back to me right away after I inquired about a skinny bbl and I was able to do a virtual consultation since I’m an out of state patient. Booking was very easy as well. On the day of my procedure I was made to feel comfortable right away everyone in the office is so nice and has really good energy which is important! The facility was very clean and gave a cozy feel. During the procedure dr t and his assistant reassured me that i was doing great which helped calmed my nerves and his assistant even held my hand at times throughout the procedure I thought that was really nice. My recovery was normal and I had no problems whatsoever. Dr t’s wife Doris texted me throughout my recovery to ensure I was doing okay. I love that they are a small team and you always know who you are speaking with. I’m so incredibly happy with my results Dr Torres is a miracle worker! I am pretty skinny and he was still able to contour my body and give me some curves! I have no regrets and will choose Dr T everytime!

Dr. Torres and his staff are amazing at what they do. From the moment I sent in photos until weeks after my surgery I’ve always felt like I was their priority. Being an out of state patient had its own set of added challenges but it was easy and seamless. They provide to you an entire set of resources to help make your trip as accommodating as possible and easy to navigate. I’m a mother of 2 and was only 10 months postpartum from my second child. I did not want a tummy tuck or mommy make over. I just had fat in all the wrong places and I wanted a shape I’d be happy with. I’m a realistic person and we discussed my case in detail about my wants out of the procedure. My goal was.. get rid of the fat and create an amazing shape. Any remaining skin or stretch marks that are there can either be hidden or treated in other ways as they were/are pretty minimal. I couldn’t have asked for better results!! I’m currently ending week 7 post op and I’m thrilled with the outcome so far. I could have made some of these changes on my own with diet and exercise but this shape was only possible with the help of Dr. Torres. I will say the recovery can be tedious but the worst parts for me were sitting on the thigh pillow while driving and finding creative ways to sleep since sleeping on my stomach just wasn’t happening. Other than that everything else was fine. You find your routine during the process and get through it. The faja isn’t that bad and the foams and board make it even better. One piece of advice, WEAR THE BOARDS!! It’s struggle to get on at first but it makes a huge difference and gives you a flat stomach! 10/10 highly recommend Dr. T and his Staff!
