I can not speak highly enough about SKIN Santa Monica! Sara is truly a master of her craft. Frankly, my problem prone skin is spectacular, ALL thanks to her. In fact, I got a facial the day before a recent film shoot, and when I showed up for hair and makeup, the makeup artist was like, “I’m not going to put much foundation on you because you’re skin is so beautiful, you just don’t need it”. Little did she know I had seen a skin wizard the day before! So, Go! Just GO! SKIN is a one of a kind experience. I especially love the new urban chic location— so L.A.! It’s truly a hidden gem. I’m not one to go out of my way to write reviews; a product or service has to be unbelievablygood or shockingly bad to motivate me to write. In this review I’ll be trumpeting the stand-out, first-class, nothing short of miraculous treatment I received at Skin Santa Monica. I’ve suffered from adult onset acne for over thirty years. In that time I’ve seen innumerable dermatologists and visited countless estheticians to no avail. Despite their best efforts, and the onerous concatenations of prescriptions, salves and treatments they have heaped upon me, my skin remained a mess. Then I was referredto Sara, who, in just a few office visits, notonly improved my skin but provided me with a method of daily home care that has kept my skin clear and breakout free (fingers crossed, knock-on-wood.) for months now. The skin care regimen she put me on, which she calls “Facial Cross Conditioning”, involves using many of the products and services I’ve used before (like retinols, benzoyls, and blue light), eliminating others (like soap) while introducing various new treatment combinations that I’ve never heard of or used before (like sebum regulating oils, natural antimicrobials and various skin barrier building products). Thanks to Sara and her uniqueapproach to myproblem, for the first time in my adult life I can honestly say that I feel comfortable being in my own skin. So thank you, Sara, I only wish I had discovered you sooner. Five stars!
