We have made two purchases from Skin Act, both which have been major disappointments. We first purchased a German motor microdermabrasion machine. After only a couple uses of the machine, the threading on the screws which held the canister of crystals were entirely stripped, no longer allowing us to securely tighten the screws. This treatment requires all the screws to be completely tightened in order to receive a strong suction. Skin Act’s support team helped us fix this issue by super gluing the screws on. Now, 6 months later, the metal screw has completely broken off inside the handpiece, requiring us to order a fully priced, new part at final sale with no warranty. Experiencing these issues with how little we have actually used this machine, leads me to believe that the metal used to make the parts is not high quality enough to withstand the abrasion of the microderm crystals. Before these issues arose, we also purchased a hydraulic spa bed. Again, the screws do not stay tightened and the hydraulic quickly stopped working. This is a very heavy bed and for us to have to flip it on its side every 2 weeks to re-tighten the screws as “maintenance” is totally not ideal. It is not fit to support a human’s weight, as we have actually had clients sit down on this bed and it has flipped backwards, dropping them on the floor. This is a major liability and we now have a spa bed that is unfit for us to even use. As for the broken hydraulic, Skin Act’s resolution was for us to tape 4 pennies together and insert them underneath the hydraulic bar to be sure that it is getting pressed down all the way. We now have pennies in our bed which occasionally like to pop out and have to be reinserted. We no longer even try using the hydraulic as it does not work. I do not recommend Skin Act for spa equipment as it is not quality product and the support you will receive is minimal. If you want to constantly deal with different issues arising and receiving the run around to get them resolved, then Skin Act is a perfect fit for you.

I was extremely pleased with the customer service Alex provided when I was having trouble with a steamer I purchased. He talked me through the issue and helped me troubleshoot. He also helped me to access our warranty information and quickly shipped out the piece we needed to quickly fix the remaining issue. Love my steamer and happy it’ll be in perfect working order again shortly!

I haven’t been working since Covid but I love coming here to pick up one or more of their many great skin care products. They have masks tweezers spa wraps and everything you could possibly need whether for work or your own personal needs . And if your in business and need equipment it’s the place to go. Critical: Professionalism, Quality, ValueIf you are looking into buying a machine this place is not it. Don’t be fooled like me by their site reviews, I bought multiple machines and only for all of them to fail. The customer service in the beginning was great (but I mean why wouldn’t it they were trying to take my money) and once I had issues you had to call and call only to never return your call regarding your issues.My Oxygen Machine handle came damage and I haven’t been able to use it, I now have to take time out of my day to go over their shop and see what can be done. And only hope they can replace it.My steamer has stopped working after only 3 months of purchase, and my stopped I mean it stops during 5 minutes of use into my service. My high frequency knobs are failing, it’s like if the connection is not working. And lastly, my microdermabrasion tips are dull after a couple services.I paid In cash which was the worst mistake, yeah you get a discount but when it comes to resolution they simply don’t care to help you out. I am dissatisfied and disappointed to say the least and can now only live with the feeling of regret of ever choosing this company. It sucks! I have been ordering spa equipment and supplies from this company for more than 10 years. They have an outstanding customer service, great quality equipment and the best prices in the market. I have recently purchased a facial multifunction equipment from SkinAct and I wasn’t sure about the installation for some of its parts. I called their customer service department and the rep that I contacted, face timed with me and helped me with all my questions. She also emailed me a video to make sure I knew everything about the equipment. A week later I received a follow up email from the company to make sure that my equipment was well installed and was working properly. Thank you!

My purchase this time was for a steamer.Before purchasing from any vendors I do the following:1.) I call them to make sure that I can get an English speaking person with no hassle.2.) I then pretend to have a problem with an item (an item I don’t own yet) just to see how they respond to my theoretical problem with my theoretical item that I don’t actually own.If the company passes both of those test I order from them. Skin Act passed both test. Customer service is easy to get ahold of and uses common sense when resolving problems. (I stress common sense because we have all dealt with companies who CS reps are not able to provide common sense solutions)Example – I ordered a product that I wasn’t satisfied with. Customer service worked with me to arrange for swapping the item out for a different item with minimal hassle on my end. I’m even keeping the old item in use till the new one arrives so I don’t experience any downtime.IF* – My item breaks prematurely and I become unsatisfied with this company I will come back and update this review.
