Courtney is an old friend of mine from high school. She treated me like a customer instead of a friend, making sure I was comfortable, asking if I needed water, all that. I came in and I told her the color I was going for and a particular silver hair color and she made it happen. It came out better then I had imagined! She even curled my hair for no extra charge to help me have a magical moment. Seeing how it looked had me in tears because I’ve been busy with grad school and working full time and for her to help me feel, and look, like a million bucks was the best thing she could have done for me. Any coloring, ask for Courtney. She will give you the million dollar treatment.

Set up an appointment today, to start a new hair journey of going back to natural. I had been using box color for years and just wanted to do things the right way. Not to sure what to ask for, I told my stylist I wanted some highlights and to go back to brown. Immediately I was ambushed with lots of defeated sighing. She grabbed a strand of my hair like it was a piece of trash. She said it would take many appointments to get what I wanted done. I’m 26 years old. I know what I’ve done with the box treatments is hard to fix. I know it’ll take many appointments. I don’t expect miracles overnight. But I couldn’t even explain that. She asked another stylist her opinion, but just looked very defeated. I told her the photos i had were just a mere reference, but by no means at all did I expect to walk out today looking like the picture. I knew it would take a test strand. I knew my hair might be a little crazy. But I was just trying to get back to natural the smart way. What I would’ve preferred to happen would be a plan to be set into place. I know I’m not the first person to walk in with 6 months of growth on what used to be red box color. And many years of touching it up. My roots are showing now. My hair is crazy. I just wanted to take the next step that was the right step. Instead I was just looked at like I was crazy and expecting a miracle. I wasn’t expecting the picture, just to go in that direction. I wouldn’t mind coming back for many more appointments if the stylist held herself a little more professionally. I had the feeling she didn’t want to help me because it was a process. She was called in today, which I appreciated. And got me in on short notice. All of which I appreciated. But when she saw me she didn’t want to work with me at all. She told me I would leave looking the same way I did coming in. Not giving me a plan of what this appointment would be like. It was just very unprofessional. So I left and won’t be coming back. I used to recommend your business to others. But after today, no thank you.

We’ve been looking for a place for my wife to get her hair colored, that does the bright unique colors. We went in with wary expectations, after having multiple other places epically fail, and butcher her hair. We were far from disappointed. The entire staff was super friendly, they listened to our needs, and worked with her to get exactly what she was looking for. She wanted a dark to light blue fade, and Heather far exceeded our expectations. This took almost 8 hours (She took her time to ensure her hair wouldn’t take damage), due mostly to my wife’s thick course hair, but Heather blew us away with the end result. Me and our daughter both had trims with Hannah. We both have long hair, and are both very picky about how it gets done. She listened and did exactly what we wanted. I only wish I could give a better rating. We have officially found our hair place. I will recommend Sizzor Shack to everyone I know. Thank you Heather and Hannah, and everyone there for an awesome experience.

Went to Mariah for the first time. She is AMAZING! She foiled my hair. I wanted blonde highlights with a little brown. It’s perfect! I love it! I’ve been to a couple of other places in town and the last one had my hair a horrible color. Mariah got it exactly the way I wanted it! I will go nowhere but to her from now on! Thanks so much! I finally feel like my old self again!

My sister went here and is very unhappy so I’m posting this for her. Pics below of her hair before and after. Also, the picture of what she wanted. She paid high dollar for a dye job and they used harsh chems which burned her scalp. I’m not even sure why they felt the need to bleach her whole head when all she really needed was her ends lightened. Her hair is also very brittle and damaged now. However, I’ll let the pictures speak for themselves.

I went to Scissor Shak for the first time yesterday. They were very friendly and the place is clean and trendy. After 6 months of not getting my hair done, Tina gave me the TLC it needed. When I left my hair was exactly the cut and color I wanted. The conversation was awesome! I highly recommend this place!
