Do not go here if you are looking for a protective hairstyle. The braids themselves look very beautiful which is why I tried to be a loyal customer, but these ladies will be VERY careless with your natural hair.

Critical: Quality, ValueI let Armelle ( the manager) do my hair the first time, it came out great ( See right side). I came back yesterday to Armelle again and I told her I wanted my hair the exact way she did last time. I sent her pictures and I reminded her again once I sat in the chair. She said she knows and she said she had the picture up. Well, my hair came out like this (See left picture) not exactly what I had in mind. The parting is messed up (I have all kinds of shapes: triangles, rectangles, squares) and the braids are too big. She also had another lady braid my hair, which she did not tell me in advance and she did not braid my hair properly. I text her to ask for a partial refund or re-do my head over since I felt like I overpaid for large braids and it wasn’t what I ask for. She said that she doesn’t give refunds and my braids are AS-IS. She then offer to fix a few braids then she text me again said she is the manager of the store and she will fix 10 braids and give me $20 off next time. I paid $180 in cash for this. This was a rush hairstyle she started at 5:25-7:15p. There are only 24 braids. The first time it took 3 hours so that tells it all. My entire hair needs to be re-done. The ends are terrible.Now I’m just like the memes— what I ask for vs. what I got I will NOT return again! Don’t go here! Don’t waste your money! Don’t even think about it! Now, I have to take my hair down.Update: To the owner response if you were so concern about your customers you can clearly see that this is not what I asked for and anyone else looking at these photos can agree with me. This was not worth $180 and the quality of work is not backed up( I clearly have proof of that and back up to prove that. Lol) If it’s the stylist work, the stylist, should be able re-do my hair over instead of a few braids. So how is that abuse?? It’s just like gettting your nails done. I have a lot of hair and thick down to my back and still they were able to team up and work their magic! When I left the salon within minutes the compliments were amazing and continued for the 3 months I had them in. I cannot say enough good things, they are friendly, talented, timely and worth their asking price as they gave me better results than I expected. I had three great experiences getting my braids done with these very talented ladies. I have a lot of hair and thick down to my back and still they were able to team up and work their magic! When I left the salon within minutes the compliments were amazing and continued for the 3 months I had them in. I wanted my hair mixed. No problem! She continued working on my hair until it was done. She even figured out a way to get me in her schedule the same week. She does not price gouge and is very kind. Critical: Professionalism, Quality, ValueDO NOT COME HERE. Armel (the husband of the braider Armelle) is aggressive and abusive to customers. He comments on reviews that they are part of the competition so he and his braiders do not have to fix their mistakes. I asked the individual here to braid my hair and the picture I provided WAS NOT the service I received. I had to leave and told the braider this was not what I asked for. She was apologetic and stated she would fix it but then quickly changed her tone when I came back to get the hair fixed. She became aggressive and confrontational as I attempted discussing with her the items wrong with my hair (ends cut badly, hair discolored, wrong length). She then decided to call her husband informing him that I was causing trouble for bringing up these items. He called trying to be verbally abusive which thankfully my husband handled. He hung up on my husband just to be abusive to me through text message. They never fixed their mistake or took responsibility. Needless to say don’t come here you won’t be happy.Response to owner: First be careful when you call people liars. Second I was never satisfied with my hair which I informed your “enslaved” (interesting choice of words) braider as I also told her that she was well over the time allotted to braid my hair. Out of goodwill I paid her and she stated she would fix my hair. Police reports are public record feel free to look it up. When Plano PD came out, they informed the owner they couldn’t deny service since I already paid. The braider stated she would not give a refund but would redo the back of my hair although she refused to give me an appointment time. They close at 7pm but she kept indicating that she could not give me an appointment after 2pm. He comments on reviews that they are part of the competition so he and his braiders do not have to fix their mistakes. Work was done on my hair without confirmation if they were doing the service correctly and then had an attitude when I spoke up and said it wasn’t right. This was our first time coming here and they did beautiful work on my daughter’s hair! She loves her braids. My appointment was at 4 and they were prompt. We didn’t wait long at all. My daughter is 7 and very tender headed. They were so patient and caring. We will definitely be back!

We were informed that there wasn’t enough time to fix my wife’s hair since the primary braider had to go pick up her children. They claimed to only be able to work on the back. And that the rest was essentially, “tough luck” for my wife. Once I began recording the interaction, the primary braider called her husband who then called my wife and said he was the manager. Although he was not in the salon on the previous 2 trips my wife had taken. It is worth noting that her first trip was great. It was the 2nd trip and subsequent revisit to fix the 2nd trip that caused the real issue. The Husband/Manager, began to yell at my wife on the phone while she attempted to explain to him what was going on. This is where I step in and finish the remaining dialogue with the Husband/Manager. He has decided now that they will not fix my wife’s hair. By the end of this ordeal, the Plano PD came out twice to the location to assist and we were finally given an appointment to at least fix the back portion of my wife’s head. They also have cameras in this location that either do not work or they are not willing to use them. There are at least 5 of them and they refused to pull the video of the incident even to show the officers. Either way, I have never had to get local PD involved in a business interaction, but I am glad they showed up and confirmed that we were not criminal trespassing as it was stated when they were called out.My suggestion.
