A group of us ladies visited Simply Serene in April for pre wedding manicures/pedicures. I also utilized their deep tissue massage service. The girls who provided the services were all very sweet. However, the quality of the services was lacking. None of us will return to this salon.

The young lady that did my waxing was great, she was professional and apologetic for the atmosphere. I’m new to the area, I called for directions and the receptionist had no clue, she acted as though I was an idiot for even asking, condescending. I later found out she is a high school student and a relative of the owner. This is fine but she should have asked someone else to assist me. On top oh that she was rude and disrespectful when I arrived. Ok she’s a kid I understand. But this is a business.

(Im growing out a pixie) I tried to find somewhere to go last minute in the holiday season and was lucky to get in with Ari. She was professional and friendly, did exactly what I was hoping for even though I was not able to give very clear direction. My hair looks great, I will definitely go back!

Critical: ProfessionalismI had far from a serene experience with this salon. I booked my wedding makeup and hair trial for October, driving 4 hrs from Houston. Menar provided the services that day and I was assured that she would be the stylist doing both hair and makeup the day of my wedding just over a month later. I had already been rescheduled about 3x with various stylists prior to the trial, but again was reassured she’d be doing my services the day of my wedding. The afternoon before my wedding, I received a text that although they were happy to see me the next day, they could only provide makeup, no hair. This made no sense as I had been reassured Menar would be providing both services. I was then told that she had a wedding to do, and they were trying to find someone to do my hair at the last minute. All I can guess is that she or the salon decided to go with a larger booking that day. No way was I going to show up for makeup only. In addition, no one contacted me after to perform service recovery. Menar provided the services that day and I was assured that she would be the stylist doing both hair and makeup the day of my wedding just over a month later. What a joke this place was. We were attending a beautiful wedding for my sister. My mother in law, my wife and my grandmother had to get their hair done. There was a single stylist available. They were given a price and the price changed after the hairstyle. The price doubled. They paid the original price and left. We have received several harassing phone calls from the owner. Threatening my grandmother and mother in law. Calling us cheap and white trash. Money is not an option. And I was told that by the owner. Her issue is that Apparently my sweet wife grandmother and mother in law were so “cruel” that the girl at the front counter was “crying” I won’t get into the amount of money we spent or how much everyone we receive services from was tipped. My family tips well. We would never do anything like this. Our entire party was absolutely shocked to hear this wild situation and am even more shocked waking up to my mother in law receiving more harassing calls. Other people in the store agreed with the situation. You can’t have a price listed up front and then just double it after you have completed the service. The owner is extremely unprofessional. Beorne is beautiful, I grew up there. But if this woman represents Boerne like she claims she does…. Boerne has changed. Sitting in my beautiful home with my beautiful family after my sister had a stunning wedding in the hill country and were here getting harassing phone calls about being white trash. The irony is almost too much. We have money, but we also believe in professional service. The stylist was great, the owner is another story.

What a wonderful experience ❤…the Salon is quaint and upscale. The staff treated all if us as if we were VIPs. I enjoyed a luxurious full Body Massage and then was treated to a wonderful Manicure which included a hand massage and friendly conversation. Service was top notch!

My sister in law scheduled her makeup and hair to be done for her wedding months in advance. The DAY BEFORE her wedding this place TEXTED her to say that they couldn’t fit her in. How horrible is that!
