Saw a woman at a store and her hair was laying. Cut was sharp, curls were tight. So asked and this is where she sent me. Got a relaxer, cut and of course blow dried and curled. My hair swung like it did when I used to go to pileggi’s on the square, downtown. Salon chit chat was fun and engaging. Maria, the owner did my hair. Turns out I know her family because of where I grew up. Know her mom and graduated with one of Aunts, small world. Will definitely be going back.

As I walked in I was greeted and got started right away. Nicky did my wash and blow dry and made me feel very comfortable. I can’t stress enough what an amazing job Marva did. Today I decided to do a well needed drastic cut. I called and was able to get an appointment within the hour. As I walked in I was greeted and got started right away. Nicky did my wash and blow dry and made me feel very comfortable. I can’t stress enough what an amazing job Marva did. I showed her what I wanted and she did better than I could’ve imagined. My first visit was a walk-in appointment. Atmosphere was relaxing, clean and professional. My stylist got started right away, listened to what I wanted and provided the service I asked for. Ever after scheduling my second visit through instagram for 9:30, getting to the shop on time but seeing all the lights out and the sign on the door which read 10:00 opening (confusing), I assumed the shop was closed. I returned home and called the shop at 10:00. I was told that someone was in the shop since 8:00 and I was asked if I tried to pull on the door. Maybe I should have but I didn’t.I was told that I could not get my hair done anymore at that time or would have to come back later in the afternoon, which would have been impossible for me because I had a doctor’s appointment to get to around that time. At only in half an hour after my appointment time , I believe I could have still have gotten a wash and curl and not interfered with other clients who scheduled after me considering that when you booked there is a certain time allotted for your style. A little disappointed, I’m new to the area and thought that I had found a salon home that I would continue to patronize, .(and I spend $$ on my hair) however. I lost out on my $25 deposit. Other than that, seems like one of the better salons in the area.

Marva did a good job & is very polite but her shampoo girl with the bushy hair didn’t condition my hair after she washed it. I think she was rushing because a lot of clients were waiting to be washed but still, do your job correctly

Marva’s marvelous! She understands what you asks for and if she doesn’t. She will talk it out to make sure you understand what your asking for, before she starts. The atmosphere is relaxed and professional. I asked for a Bob with highlights, that’s exactly what I got and it was beautiful!
