Jenny is amazing!!!! I wanted to change my hair color to golden brown with my black roots… however, she explained better options considering the maintenance and my fear of damaging my hair. Jenny Milich is phenomenal! She helped me tone down my summer blonde highlights for the Fall. I’m not always the best at explaining to a stylist what I want my color and cut to look like. I’ve been here twice now and both times I have walked out ecstatic and in love with my hair. I’ve seen both Leah and Michele for a cut and a balayage, and would highly recommend either of them. They’re both really kind, really talented artists who know what they’re doing and honestly want you to be happy when you leave. The salon itself is also really cute and really reasonably priced for the service that you’re getting. I’m so happy that I finally found a place like this — as long as I’m within driving distance, I’ll be going to Sima’s. 🙂

Leah is the best! As most girls I’m very picky about my hair and who does it. Leah is the only one I’ll go to outside of CT. All my roommates go to her now too! Dot is also phenomenal! I have just seen this review that I wrote a long time ago… I thought I had already revised, updated my review, but that must have been somewhere else then (perhaps Angie’s List). In any case, I won’t replicate the whole story I wrote there, only to say that after this incident we got a sincere apology, which is rare these days and of course we appreciated it and reconsidered. We decided to give Sima’s another try and we were satisfied. Both my wife and I have been regular customers, coming every 6 weeks or so, since then, with overall great satisfaction. The only reason I am not updating the number of stars to 5 quite yet, besides the initial incident, is that communication with the front office still can have occasional (minor) glitches and that they don’t have office hours on Monday (the day I really could deal with making calls to schedule) represent a minor inconvenience. Again, we are satisfied, we are active and regular customers, and in a year or two if it stays like that, I will be updating this to 5 stars 🙂

I had my second Brazilian EVER here today by Tara and it was WAYYYY faster and less painful then my first one. My first one was ok, but took a pretty long time and I am NOT a good client because I’m very ticklish and don’t have the best pain tolerance when it comes to this sort of thing. BUT Tara made the whole experience very quick and got all of the hair off quickly and painlessly…. As painlessly as this treatment can be.

Let’s start with that the lady was very friendly and welcoming. However that’s were the positives stop. I had to request that the table cover be changed after being requested to sit on it and even though it was obvious that it was well used. The technique used was questionable and I was provided with 2 hand wipes to clean off with which was extremely difficult bc there was a ton of residual leftover. Was not pleased at all.
