Silvia’s has been under new ownership for two or so years now. In that time the price of a haircut has almost doubled. It went from $7.99 to $9.99 to $12.99 to $15.00. The most recent increase, it is claimed, is because of COVID-19. That would be reasonable if not for the previous increases. Part of the appeal to these smaller, strip retail shops has always been the price. That is quickly disappearing at Silvia’s.

Changing my review, this is the third and last time I’m changing it. My opinion has changed from 5 stars to 3 to 1 and I’m NEVER returning. I’ve been going here for a few years now and keep giving them chance after chance and every time I️ stop by I️ regret it. The women just get more and more bitter and disrespectful; the service is downright awful. They smack you around and give you the haircut they want to give you, not what you ask for. They just want their money and want you out. Spend your money on an ACTUAL barber. These women cut their sons hair and think they’re hair dressers. Go somewhere else or get what you pay for and get your hair and your day ruined here.

In and out, decent haircut for a good price. Nothing too special but that’s not expected considering the price of the cut and the short wait time. We were in and out in about 30mins and the haircut was decent. Will return.
