I’ve been going to Michael for a few years now and I’ve always been happy with the haircuts I have received. One of the things I appreciate most is that he takes notes in his computer about how he’s cut my hair in the past and he goes back and reviews what he’s done prior to the start of my next appointment. This takes a lot of the guesswork out and in my experience has produced a great consistency over time. He’s open to switching things up, but I can easily say, “same as usual” and I know what I’m going to end up with.

I very much enjoyed getting my hair cut here! Rachael was a wonderful stylist and worked with me to help me find a haircut that I liked! I wish I had found this place sooner and I am sad to have moved from the area, but if you are in State College then I heavily recommend! They knew me by name by the second time I walked in and were always very kind.

I really enjoyed going to Michael to get my haircut. He is very professional always asking if each cut is what you wanted and telling you if something might look bad if shorter or longer etc… The building is always clean and he is always on time. He writes every cut length down so that he is consistent to what you like each time you come in. I never had a hair style until I visited him for a fade. Have to say I recommend him for anyone in the State College area, coming from a PSU student. I’m sad I had to leave the area because it was always a good cut!

really good experience. they have a good emphasis on trying to understand what you want so they don’t mess up your hair. They’re also keen on their work ethic and don’t cut corners. Appointments needed in advance.

He gave my curls a great dry cut, listened to what I wanted and gave his own suggestions, and also offered to fix my cut afterward if it wasn’t what I liked. It was my first time getting a haircut in state college and I wasn’t sure were to get a haircut. I found Michael’s Silver Scissors online and decided to get a haircut there. I did not make an appointment. But luckily they were not busy and I was able to get a haircut. Michael was super nice and gave me a nice hair cut.

I was Michael’s customer for almost four years? It has been so long and I cannot even remember. Being an Asian, it was very difficult to find a place to get a hair cut. I am very sensitive about my hair because I style my hair daily (wax, hair spray, curl, straightener, etc) and cannot risk that. I still remember the first day that I got a service from Michael and I was just amazed at how skilled he is at cutting Asian hair. Since then, this was my go-to place and have never went anywhere else. I would give this place 100 stars if I could. I was hoping to visit one last time before my graduation but sadly I was not able to. Lastly, I just want to thank you Michael for all those years of providing phenomenal service. I will definitely miss this place.
