Shawnna is incredibly skilled and talented, and always does an amazing job taming and styling my hair. She is truly an artist. She’s also incredibly professional and kind. The Silla salon space is impeccably clean with stylish ambiance. The entire staff is professional and courteous.

Silla was recommended to me after searching for a hair salon in VT that uses a more natural hair color brand (O&M color). I had a free consultation with Shawnna a few days ahead of my appointment because I wasn’t sure if I should do more highlights or an all-over color. I’ve been seeing Shawnna for hair care and Sonia for skin care for years now and have always been very happy with how they’ve taken care of me. It’s always a pleasure to see them both as they are both very kind and caring. Both have a great sense of humor and are fun to talk to. I was very happy when Shawnna opened Silla. I am so happy for this beautiful new location. It is no surprise that Shawnna has accomplished so much and has grown into a successful and independent salon owner. She has been doing my hair for over a decade now and have never ever been disappointed, always happy with the overall experience. Her coloring skills are tight and she listens to what you want and in my case, don’t want. When i see other people’s poor color jobs, i always work in my advice to go see Shawnna.

I hadn’t gotten my hair cut in two years, I am VERY protective of it because it takes the right person to cut my thick and wavy hair! The stylists at Silla were professional, charismatic and talented. I felt very welcomed and comfortable through my wash, cut and blow out. Huge plus that the space is GORGEOUS, lots of natural light, chic design and lots of mirrors for before and after pics ;). I’m afraid that I am not going to write a good review here, because of the store’s new manager. Burlington is not a big city, so it is such a friendly neighborhood place that we say hello on the streets to strangers, and I have never encountered any one like her around, especially in the service industry.

Shawnna is literally the best hair stylist/colorist I’ve ever been to. She always goes above and beyond to give me exactly what I ask for, even if it is something as small as a slightly cooler shade of blonde she makes it happen. She is so good, that when I’m traveling and decide to get my hair blown out at any other salon, I always get so many compliments on the color! I will follow her to whichever salon she goes to and when she opened up Silla, I was so excited to go to a place that she created. The space is so beautiful and so calming and every detail from the decor, to the hair washing stations and product lines are well thought out. I cannot recommend this place enough!
