Today is Saturday when most nail salons are open, right? I was staying at the Marriott next door. Sign says open and hours posted on door. Woman came to locked door, “said yes we’re open but you don’t have an appt and you have to make appointment.” It would have made sense to have appointment only. Now I feel like maybe she just didn’t want to serve me.

For many years I have had good experiences at the WHartford Silk Nails, however, my first (and only) experience at Silk Nails was a disaster. First, the technician cut both of my big toe nails too short. It actually hurt when she cut them and continued to hurt for over a week. She and her colleagues were laughing and having conversations that were at an inapproriate sound level for patrons who were attempting to relax, read, or check messages. I do believe I received such a poor quality pedicure because my technician was too busy socializing and not paying attention to what she was doing. When I got home, I also realized that the technician missed painting parts of a few nails. I’ve never posted a poor review of any business establishment (and I’m 62) until today!

Nice of them to squeeze me in, but terrible job. A paid for a gel manicure, it seems they did not actually manicure my hands. She simply filed my nails then proceeded to paint. Did not paint the nails well at all- I did not like the way they looked when I walked away, and now it is only 3 days later and ALL my gel has come off my hands except my thumbs. Total waste of my money.

Called to ask if any appointments were available and the lady started laughing at me on the phone? Not sure what that was about but for a first time customer who was considering this nail salon I recommend working on customer service. If all slots are filled for the day just say it, laughing is not a proper response.

I brought my daughter in to get her eyebrows done, and the woman butchered them. Terrible job they should not be doing waxing on people faces! Very unsatisfied customer. Will never go there again. They charged $16.00 for a horrible job. Eyebrows did not match. One arch was so high. Ridiculous. Would not recommend!!

I love this nail salon. The staff are so friendly. I go for pedis, I love the leg massage and the hot stones feel SO good! It ends with a nice way towel and shoulder massage.
