I had a haircut with Kerrigan. She was friendly, listened to me about what I wanted, and overall was a really pleasant person. I have natural waves/curls so it can be hard to find a stylist that knows how to cut my hair properly, she did a fabulous job! Haircut

Critical: ValueThe gal did a fine job trimming my hair, but I didn’t need it washed or styled so it took her 10 minutes at most and I was absolutely shocked by the price. Decatur isn’t a big city and the salon location wasn’t amazing so I can’t justify paying that much for a quick trim. The gal did a fine job trimming my hair, but I didn’t need it washed or styled so it took her 10 minutes at most and I was absolutely shocked by the price. Decatur isn’t a big city and the salon location wasn’t amazing so I can’t justify paying that much for a quick trim. Critical: ProfessionalismI would not recommend this salon. The technician did a really good job and is a very nice person. I would highly recommend her. However, the owner seems to think that the technicians’ promotions should come at the customer’s expense. From April to July, the price of a haircut and a color went from $84 to $96 to today’s haircut and color, $106. When I inquired why the prices were going up so much, I was told the technician had gotten a promotion. I won’t be returning simply because at this rate, the cost of a haircut next year will be $200.Service: HaircutI would not recommend this salon. The best place I have ever found for cute cuts and non damaging color that is so dimensional! I love the personal attention I get from Bre Cook for my hair and Rachel who does marvelous pedicures! Bonus: It’s an Aveda salon!

Literally, the worst, most unethical salon I’ve ever been to. On my third visit here, we were ready to go to a platinum blond level, and I’d even brought a picture. I was being serviced by a girl who was young and hadn’t been working there very long, but she had other stylists around who were guiding her with the process. I was there for over four hours because the first attempt turned my hair a brassy orange and I’d asked for a couple of standout darker highlights… it looked awful. I had to go in the next day for two more hours where it ended up looking like nothing improved. Then, she wanted to charge me for not just the service I’d come in for but everything she used to correct her mistake. The assistant manager that day was extremely rude to me and acted as if this girl’s poor coloring attempt was somehow my fault. I said I did not want to pay for it because I’d immediately be going to another salon to have it fixed. My hair was fried! (I posted a picture on yelp). They told me I HAD to pay but the manager would call me when she was back in (this was after the assistant manager rudely argued with me that I’d “just changed my mind”). I ended up having to call the manager the next week, and, again, she wasn’t even in, so I went to my credit card and had them dispute the charges. On top of all of this drama, they tried to fight me on my dispute and lied to my credit card company about the events, saying I’d changed my mind after leaving the salon. Um, hello? I CAME IN A SECOND DAY TO FIX YOUR TERRIBLE STYLIST’S COLORING AND THEN ARGUED WITH HER AND YOUR ASSISTANT MANAGER BEFORE LEAVING AND YOU TOLD ME I HAD TO PAY. So, terrible coloring that ruined my hair, terrible customer service, and totally unethical management. Thankfully another salon took me in that day and gave it a conditioning treatment and did their best to cover up the hideous brassy color and the poop-stain that was the few strands of highlighting they did. DO NOT GO HERE. They’ve got some serious attitude issues. There are far better salons in Decatur. By the way, I got my refund thanks to my credit card company. This was after I sent photos of my God awful hair, described the situation, and made sure to highlight the fact that the receipt that showed I paid for it (by the way, even if a business threatens you, DO NOT SIGN THE RECEIPT) and highlighted the part where I did not give a tip to show I was pretty upset with it at the time I was at the salon.

I used to get facials here before I moved away to college. I got the express facial frequently and my server acne cleared up. At first it did not seem like it was working, but after about a month my face started to clear up fast. The effects lasted for a long time after I quit coming. It was expensive to get them once a week, so I found a good dermatologist and the treatment is covered by insurance. I have very weird skin, and I never had a reaction to the products used here.
