Getting your hair done at The Short Hair Company is a great experience. The place has a cool vibe with the owner’s vinyl record collection on display. When I was there the turntable was spinning and some sweet jazz sounds filled the space. Everyone was super friendly and as you would expect very knowledgeable on hair, curls, and cuts; and they listen well too. GiGi cut my hair. She did a terrific job while paying attention to some specific requests I made before we started. I recommend visiting The Short Hair Company, and also recommend you not be in a rush when you plan your visit. The company is great, the music outstanding, and the cut will be just what you expected!

This shop is the best place to get your haircut in all of Austin and by my experience it is the best haircut I have ever gotten. Damien is extremely warm and friendly upon entering the shop. The shop immediately strikes you as a cool environment to relax and get the best experience to have you leave confident. Covering the walls are vinyls of music from many genres and eras. This allows curiosity and interest to roam which funnels into immediate conversation while getting your haircut by Damien or one of the other fantastic employees. Now to the reason you’re there! The haircut! The haircut is quick, comfortable and exceptional. Damien has a master relaxed flow to him while cutting that is effortless, speedy and delivers a spectacular haircut. I have had around 7 haircuts from Damien now and each time I leave the shop looking in my rear view mirror backing out of the parking spot loving how sharp I look. I’d recommend getting cut in the morning because you’ll want the fresh cut to show off all day! Try Short Hair yourself and understand why they’re the best place to get your haircut in Austin!
