The staff who worked on us were very kind, so I’ve felt conflicted about leaving a negative review but ultimately appreciate honesty and hope this helps someone in the future. This was a TERRIBLE spa experience. I wanted to purchase a Groupon to treat my sisters to a spa day. I called a month in advance to confirm we could use 3 in one day and told them the price listed, but they asked me to book directly with them so they don’t get dinged for the cut Groupon takes. I figured that was fair and paid for my booking. Someone else called back the next day and said actually, the price has increased for this package. She was quite rude about it. I thought that was extremely odd and but figured it was just an honest mistake so kept my appointment. I paid for a package for 3 that should have included an hour long “gemstone” facial, an hour massage, a “gemstone” pedicure and a hand mask with massage. When we arrived there was a lot of confusion about who would be providing our services, it seemed like no one knew what we had booked. My facial lasted 40 minutes, when I mentioned it should have been 60 was told my skin just “absorbed it all so fast”. She kept saying we were getting the Yonka facial with the lotion they use on burn victims in the hospital Not a gemstone in sight for any of us (a Yonka is $35 cheaper than the gemstone facial according to their website). The massage was good. The pedicures were awful (see photos) and extremely inconsistent. My one sister got a nearly hour with lotion and exfoliation and massage, mine was about 30 mins and she forgot half the steps. No lotion, no massage. Again, not a gemstone in sight for any of us (not that I really care but we paid extra for the experience so would have appreciated getting what we paid for). The hand “mask” was literally a plastic mask you can buy at target for $3 (see photos), definitely no massage. We felt really bad because the ladies providing services were nice but it seems like this place is horribly managed. The cherry on top is that when we went to give tip, we gave what we felt was appropriate given the level of service and that we didn’t get half of what we paid for, which was 18% and the woman at the front desk had the AUDACITY to say average tips were much higher. It took all self control not to just walk out in that moment, but we felt it would be unfair to the women who worked on us. Avoid this place at all costs!! Definitely not worth it!

As a man this salon really knows how to personalize your experience. The massages are incredible. They use high quality products and I also get my hair cut and beard trims. As someone who works 60-70 hours a week I prefer to come here to unwind rather than a barber shop that doesnt offer the services for massage etc. All in one. Its worth it and I look forward to my monthly massages they certainly keep my body energized for work. Im a laborer so its important to have a self care day.

We went here for my sister’s wedding. The hair all came out great, but I cannot say the same for the makeup. They only have ONE person who can do make up, and honestly thank god for him! The owner (Grace) claims and boasts that she does pageant make up but unfortunately, it looked anything but. The other person who they had doing make up flat out said she only did make up for the kids parties they host on Sunday’s, and that was about the quality we were receiving for a WEDDING.

My #1 Salon & Spa. Massage and Facial were AMAZING I love how clean the entire salon and spa is. Your experience and satisfaction is their TOP priority and you can certainly tell!!! I have been going to this salon for a little over two years and i will NEVER go anywhere else. The owner Grace is so talented and accomodating there is nothing she wont do to ensure your happiness!!! My tape is extensions are treated with such care, they remove and retape them so seemlessly and really ensure they are keeping the good quality and integrity of your hair. Truly the most incredible all in one salon.

Visited recently as a new client. I made an appointment online through their website for my mom and I to both get haircuts. I scheduled two appointments at the same time with different stylists, so we could get our hair done simultaneously. When scheduling online, you are able to pick the stylist and the appointment time. When we arrived, the woman working at the front desk told us that she had assigned our appointments to different stylists than what I had booked with. No explanation given, just different stylists. This didn’t really bother us – we were first time clients so we did not have any attachment to a particular stylist, but it seemed odd. Both of our appointments were scheduled for 1:30pm. My mom was taken back for her hair cut a few minutes after 1:30. I waited another 45 minutes before they were ready for me. My mom’s haircut was finished before mine even began. No explanation or apology was offered for how late they were with my appointment, and no one really seemed to care that I was waiting that long.

My manicure (french tip/gel) and pedicure appointment began before 10:45am and didn’t finish until after 3:30pm. This was for my casual wedding ceremony scheduled for later the same day at 6pm. I made this clear to the majority of the staff that worked on me (I still had to finish getting ready). It semed they hadn’t scheduled properly so I ended up just waiting over an hour for my manicure to be completed. The technician was working on another client. I was basically left sitting there and someone kept coming over to say that they were almost done and that she’d be over soon… but I was LITERALLY waiting over an hour.

We had an amazing 10yr old bday party. The girls enjoyed themselves and I was able to enjoy the party with them. They had everything setup when we got there and took great care of all the girls. I highly suggest hosting a bday with Shimmer!

Scheduled the princess for the day package (massage, facial, hand treatment, and pedicure). Brian did my massage and it was wonderful. Great technique, and I felt very comfortable! Then Judy did my Facial. It felt so nice and relaxing. She educated me on some skin care hacks. She was so sweet and thorough, she then went on to do my pedicure!!! Great experience!!

Horrible service. I had booked an appointment online and was assigned Kate Truman. She had long pointy nails and while shampooing she was pressing on so hard, it was painful, I was wincing. I went for shampoo and flat ironing but she didn’t put any effort on my hair, we were done pretty fast, she put a bunch of hair spray and made my hair so rough..after I left in about 20 mins my hair was like as if I never went to a salon, let alone gotten flat ironing. Horrible service. Not coming back, please be respectful of other clients who do come your way.

It was supposed to be a surprise. I almost had to text him to get the details. The massage and facial itself was nice despite there being way too much talking and asking for info like my work. I go to get a massage to relax and get AWAY from work. Not to be asked about my job. Plus who really wants to get their ear talked off while getting a facial? I understand being friendly but this was just nonstop talking. Also, the lady who gave me a massage kept going over the cut on my back despite me clearly having a bandaid there for a reason. You’d think they would be a bit more considerate. It certainly wasn’t deep tissue massage like my fiancé booked either! At the end of my facial/massage, I went to cash out (my fiancé had already paid and tipped in advanced) and turns out, they didn’t run it and they LOST HIS CARD INFO!!! So now his credit card info is floating around who knows where. Imagine getting done with a massage that was a gift and being told you owe over $200 for something that was supposed to be paid for!!! He had to leave work (he’s a chef so imagine how hard that is) to rush home and get his credit card due to their negligence. After they resolved that, I still tried to book a future service giving them the benefit of a doubt since the facial from Judy was relaxing. Well, the secretary knew nothing about the services I asked about. She kept having to run and ask about it. No matter what I mentioned booking, she didn’t know what I was talking about. After that, while she was trying to find a date/time for me (and I’m VERY flexible with booking), another client came to the counter to check out and they brushed me aside and made me wait while they scheduled her despite me being there first. I literally just wanted to book a full set and follow up facial. The final straw was when the secretary came back to booking me and she took a phone call and ran to the back room completely disregarding me. I walked out.I don’t think I’ll be back. There’s too many other salons/spas that treat their guests with respect. My fiancé spent over $200 on my first time there but if that’s how poorly they treat customers, I don’t see a sense in returning. The front desk was the icing on the cake that literally ruined the entire experience. Nobody even seemed to be bothered by it which is quite concerning.
