This year I personally had the finest massage by such a warm and inspirational spirit, Zoe. I felt nurtured, cherished and appreciated. We’ve tried other spas but nothing provides the level of relaxation, feeling of wellness, and attention to detail that we have experienced at Shibui. This visit was especially noteworthy because there was a staffing shortage issue(like everywhere right now) and it looked like they might have to cancel. We totally understood but then the owner decided to do my husbands massage(which he said was the best he’s ever had) instead of canceling and then didn’t even charge us. I got the Dance of the Desert body treatment and it is unbelievable. Thank you for making our anniversary rejuvenating and special.Another wonderful visit to Shibui. Another wonderful visit to Shibui. We’ve tried other spas but nothing provides the level of relaxation, feeling of wellness, and attention to detail that we have experienced at Shibui. For clients who rely on their service providers to take safety precautions during an unprecedented event, this review might be the only thing that allows them to make an informed choice. I have no personal vendetta against this business, in fact I am a former client of nine years. My only wish is to allow people to protect themselves if they feel unsafe by my comments.***Bizarre spa. I know they are anti vaxx and against mask policies. How do I know? They told me while I was booking appointments…. Twice.The first was when they said “we are requiring masks…unfortunately.” The second time, when I asked if the person who gave facials was vaccinated (a service that requires intimate contact without masks) they said “my body my choice”and then said they would need to get back to me the next day. When I canceled because I am looking to avoid politics, they said “no judgments”.however the judgment was clear. If you are concerned about your health…they actually aren’t.
