Positive: Professionalism, QualityMy best friend and I went in on Saturday. I had gotten a Groupon for a couples massage so we did a girl’s day and went together. Contrary to the prior reviews, it was a great experience. Having the massage behind a screen in what seemed to be the waiting room was a little impersonal but it was still very quiet, warm and relaxing. My best friend and I went in on Saturday. I had gotten a Groupon for a couples massage so we did a girl’s day and went together. Contrary to the prior reviews, it was a great experience. Having the massage behind a screen in what seemed to be the waiting room was a little impersonal but it was still very quiet, warm and relaxing. A little confusing at first because of the language barrier but overall, we felt safe and comfortable. I will definitely return for another service.

Critical: ProfessionalismI had bought a Groupon and had three days until it expired. I went in this morning and she told me No I could not use it, she wants $50 cash. I said I’ve used one in May and had no problem. Again she told me to cancel it and no she wouldn’t accept my Groupon, wanted cash again. So unprofessional. I had bought a Groupon and had three days until it expired. I went in this morning and she told me No I could not use it, she wants $50 cash. I said I’ve used one in May and had no problem. Again she told me to cancel it and no she wouldn’t accept my Groupon, wanted cash again. So unprofessional. Where to begin. My friend and I bought a Groupon for the couples massage. We made an appointment and were told to leave and come back in twenty minutes later than our scheduled time. When we came back they were visibly annoyed with two women wanting to get a massage together. They separated us, and unfortunately due to the communication barrier we weren’t able to complain about this. My friend and I both had vastly different but still extremely unpleasant massage experiences. They put me in the front area that was just curtained off, where the other client could hear and speak to me, which was unsettling. It was absolutely freezing, which isn’t a great feeling when you’re naked on a table in front of strangers. The staff spoke to each other throughout the entire experience. My masseuse (and my friends) kept our more private areas exposed through out the entire massage. When I rolled over she also exposed more of my body and I was left feeling very uncomfortable. She also neglected to use the hot stones on me at all. The massage itself was very painful and odd. She massaged my inner ears. She massaged some areas that aren’t usually massaged in most establishments. Today I can barely move my back and shoulders from the pain of the massage. I would never go back here, or recommend it in any capacity.

When I said no she just kept doing it. Don’t understand what knots are or how to rub them out. Terrible communication issues. Absolutely the worst “spa” I’ve ever been to.

They extended the expiration to the end of the year to make up for the shut down. After reading many negative reviews, I was prepared to take the loss on the money spent, but decided to give it a shot figuring I could get up and leave at any time if I felt uncomfortable. So glad we went! Previous negative reviews were completely unsubstantiated! We entered the building, and were told to wait a few minutes while they prepared our room. Received multiple apologies for the wait, which we had no problem with. Staff couldn’t have been more polite! When our room was ready, we were ushered behind a curtain where there were two tables set up. We undressed and laid down on the heated tables, immediately feeling at ease before the massage even started! Previous reviews mentioned it was cold in the room, but we went when it was 20 degrees out, and NEVER felt cold or uncomfortable! Received a full hour massage complete with oils and hot towel. Yes, there was a bit of a language barrier, but nothing that made us feel frustrated. The only thing I remember not understanding was “do you want it medium or hard?” We will definitely be back, and encourage anyone considering getting a massage at Sherry’s Spa to do it! They extended the expiration to the end of the year to make up for the shut down. I called ahead of time stating I was about to purchase a groupon for $72 because I had a 20% code. The woman on the phone told me not to purchase through groupon and she would honor the price. The massage itself was not bad but we were extremely disappointed with the service of the woman at the front desk. I showed her the screenshot of the groupon price and she wanted $78. She charged 78 after I told her I was told 72 on the phone. And then gave me $3 cash back. On Facebook , they say they have a private couples room, which turned out to be 2 tables behind a curtain in the loby. Luckily for us, no other clients walked in. After the message was over, the lady from front desk and the messus came over and DEMANDED a tip. We had planned on giving a tip but were shocked when she asked for it. We handed her the $3 she has gave us from cashback and she told us she could put the rest on the card. I will not be going back to this location!!
