Genuinely scared of this salon and the people that worked there. If I showed my hair before and after you would cry. I have spent hundreds of dollars at their salon and now at different salons to fix my hair. ITS RUINED. Not real stylists, had random people color my hair and my hair turned green, red, and brown, allll these colors I didn’t ask for. They did a color test to see if they could get the color I wanted they said yes and ruined my entire hair, I’m devastated and so upset. They did nothing to make it better. I did let them try again with extensions and RIPPED my hair out. would never recommend, will never go back. I have a video of everyone in the salon at that time and every one was unhappy with their service …….. we have very few black salons in the area and this one is the worst.

I’ve gotten my hair styled here 3 times now, and have loved my visit and my hair afterwards everytime. So far I’ve only gotten braided styles by Larissa who does an amazing job! The entire staff though is great and you can tell everyone really loves what they do. I get tons of compliments on my hair even after it’s been over 2 weeks. I am so happy I found this salon and I would recommend it to anyone in the area, especially if you have natural hair.

I want to give Sharone a BIG UPS for always making me look and feel my best. I constantly receive compliments and attention for my highlights and extension install. She is extremely talented, eager to please, competent, kind and thoughtful. Love her not just as my stylist, but she’s my sounding board, “therapist,” and now my friend. We have open communication about what I want and how I like things. Moreover, Sheldeez is where I receive some of my biggest laughs, relax, or exhale. There are many talented stylists at this salon that are open to hearing what you want as long as it’s vocalized before and during your appointment. Respect begets respect. I encourage you not to bash an establishment based on an isolated incident. PRICING: There are no hidden costs here like a great many other salons. It shouldn’t be a surprise that you have to pay to look good. The price is comparable to other salons. They even give $$ or a % off as you build your relationship with them. Please stop complaining about price when many of you don’t even tip your stylist like you should.

I am so disappointed with the level of service I received from this establishment. I had an appointment for press/flat iron. I’ve never been to a salon for an 1 1/2 to only leave with my hair being washed and blow dried. I had to go to a gathering with my hair in a bun because I got tired of waiting. The young lady that completed my wash and blow-dry was wonderful can’t speak for the stylist because I never made it to her. Please respect your customers time as I would hope they do the same for you. I won’t be returning but hopefully this makes a difference for the next customer.

I had been struggling to find a salon in the area that could do ethnic hair. Sheldeez definitely understood the assignment. From the front desk to the styling, everything was so welcoming. Promise was my stylist and she was amazing; you could tell she was very knowledgeable about hair and loves what she does. She also didn’t try to push a haircut, but offered alternative methods I could try at home to promote hair growth, which I loved. I’m pretty in tune with my hair and can tell when treatments are being pushed at hair salons, but I didn’t get that at Sheldeez. I’ve only been to this establishment once; this experience will make me a returning customer.

I have been to Sheldeez a couple times to wash my hair and usually it’s this one lady that washes it, and yesterday I went there and they gave me someone who I have seen there watching others and learning. This is not someone who has black textured hair and is still learning how to deal with it. So when I went there they send me to her to wash and blow dry my hair and the pain was excruciating and many times I had to pull my head back and stop her. No one was watching her and making sure she is doing it correctly. Because of her I now have a bold spot on my head because she was pulling my hair roughly and I left angry, my hair was still wet and I had an excruciating migraine. If someone is still learning, why let her have that responsibility with no one shadowing or making sure she is handling my hair the correct way. Because of her pulling I now have a bold spot that is UNFIXABLE and they have the audacity to ask for tip after that experience. Only reason I even come there is because it was walk-in but it is not worth it losing your hair. Your better off going somewhere else with an appointment and to a business you trust to treat your hair with care. As a black woman I do a lot to keep my hair healthy only to come to this business and they give me a bold Spot!!!!

I truly can’t complain about this place. I have never got a style where hair was added so I cannot say anything about that. I am natural and I get a shampoo, conditioner, blow dry and on occasion flatiron. I’ve never had any issues. I make an appointment. I show up on time. There is never a wait. I get my services and I leave. The staff is always friendly and professional. The salon is always clean and comfortable. As far as added hair I must say, they do a great job taking pictures of their clients and posting them (along with videos) on Instagram. Check out their instagram page if you want to see the ladies doing hair and the styles they can do. Most of us are not from this area therefore when we review the salons, we are comparing it to what we are used to back home. Welcome to Northern Virginia. If you have no expectations and you want your hair done then you will be taken care of here. Yes it is expensive but it’s expensive anywhere you go these days. They are not more expensive then other places in Northern Virginia but yes they are probably more expensive then where you came from. So to be fair, I give them 5 stars as an impartial review without comparing them to “back home” where the salons will have your hair looking flawless for cheap and a whole head full of heat damage.
