We specialize in haircuts, hair styles, threading, waxing, facial services, and Asian Bridal hair up-do and makeup. Owner Medha Parikh is a seasoned artist who has a cosmetology license from the Aveda Institute in Charlotte. While a student at Aveda’s beauty school, she was awarded Best with Shears and was chosen to represent her class in a regional competition to showcase her skills in hair cutting and styling. Prior to Shears, she owned a beauty salon in Ahmedabad, India where she and her team were well-known for their hair cutting and styling expertise and Bridal preparations. Super pricy I am no going back.pic one is my hair pic 2 is what I asked for. My appointment was set for 1230 and the salon lady that I scheduled the appointment with never showed. So the only other girl there had to dye my hair. if I’m being honest the way she acted it’s like she never dyed hair before. I was going for a sunburn orange look with a black underneath. I didn’t even get the color I was looking for besides the black underneath that was fine, what I ended up with was a faded purple with yellowish highlights. not only was the color wrong but when I told her not to use the straightener or curl my hair she didn’t listen and did it anyway and charged me for it. My hair was like chewing gum when I tried to brush it, it was falling out, but somehow when I left my hair was smooth and literally back in great shape. Very beautiful, clean and well organized salon! I get my eyebrows threaded here every time and each time my eyebrows come out beautifully done. The owner Medha is excellent in hair cutting and makeup as well. I’ve such a long hair and I wanted a different look without getting my hair much shorter. She gave very beautiful look by cutting just front layers. That way I got different look and I have my long hair as well. She has very clear vision about everything. I am 100% satisfied with her job.

I use to love going here to get my eyebrows threaded. The same lady would do them and my lip. I later started getting my lip waxed because it was less painful. The first time they got wax in my hair and were extremely sloppy. Today another lady kept reapplying the same area with wax which is NOT supposed to happen. I have wax residue all over my lip and even my cheek. Never going back.

After one unsatisfactory experience I decided to give this place another shot after being talked into it by a friend. I must say I was very happy with the change. Medha was very responsive to my previous experience and told me my future experience won’t be that way. I love it when a business owner is responsive to customers’ complaints. She is a great beautician and she was very careful with my eyebrows threading this time. I love the shape! She was very careful with making sure eyebrows were even. I had a chat about my haircut and she had some good suggestions so I will try her out for a haircut in the future as well.
