Shears Over Komb Salon

Critical: Professionalism, Quality, ValueI was going to Shears over Komb from the end of 2019 when I meet the salon owner handing out business cards until October 2020. I called a month or so later to make an appointment to have my natural hair styled; stylist Pebbles blow dried my hair and it was beautiful. When I came back for a natural style, Pebbles completely messed up my hair. I asked for no cutting or another style if my hair had to be cut. I was told the style I asked for could be done without cutting my hair. She cut my hair back to the length it was 2 years prior or shorter, the color was horrible with spots not colored, and she had no natural products for my hair. She told me to use mines at home after charging over $80 for messing my hair completely up when she knew I was not happy with her work. My hair looked dull with no product in it, she sent me out the shop with a look I could have done at home myself. At least I would have products to put on my own hair. I will not be returning or sending anyone else to this business as I can do an afro at home myself. On top of her completely messing up my hair; there was no offer from the shop owner Pebbles to spend her money or time to make things right. Not good customer service in my opinion at all!! I was going to Shears over Komb from the end of 2019 when I meet the salon owner handing out business cards until October 2020. I called a month or so later to make an appointment to have my natural hair styled; stylist Pebbles blow dried my hair and it was beautiful. When I came back for a natural style, Pebbles completely messed up my hair. I asked for no cutting or another style if my hair had to be cut. My first encounter at salon was with Pebbles, not knowing I was speaking with the owner. She was actually leaving for the day when I stopped by and was kind enough to open back up and give a hair consultation. I immediately knew her to be knowledgable, a professional and passionate about her skills and clients. She could have agreed to do what I wanted which would have overall done tremendous damage to my hair, but instead she educated me and recommended the treatment path we would commit to for healthier hair and loss (I loss all my hair initially from chemo). Pebbles is absolutely amazing. She was able to look at my hair and tell me the shape it’s in. Asked me what I’m looking for and she gave her professional opinion of what she thought I should have as well. She gave me a complete makeover. Walked out with my hair looking and feeling healthy!!
