First time getting my hair done at Shear unity and I saw Cindy. I’m pretty new to the area and have had a very challenging time finding a place to get my hair done. After trying a few times prior to seeing Cindy I had some pretty terrible experiences. She really came through and saved the day for me. I had so much going on from previous attempts at a natural highlight lowlight look. Cindy went over and above to even out everything I had going on. Trust me it was pretty bad. I was really desperate to fix it. I would 100% recommend her. She did such a fabulous job better then my expectations even. I feel brand new. And because of her skill and patience I finally have the hair I have spent so much to get and it’s because of Cindy. No damage either, my cut is so sassy and amazing and my hair feels better then ever! I’m truly blessed. Now go see Cindy at Shear Unity she’s amazing!! Before and after photos added. I’m simply amazed.

I wanted to give a higher review because everyone was so nice, but my nails did not turn out good. Before I left they looked fine so I didn’t say anything but the top coat must’ve been old or not cured right and my nails were incredibly sticky. I was getting hair or fuzz all over them and they were still sticky hours later covered in fuzz. I also noticed more later on that the nail shaping was uneven and the red polish has spotted in the white of the nail. I am going to go somewhere else to get my nails fixed. Unfortunately, the ladies here were so welcoming and nice, and I am sure the other services are fine, but I do not want to get my nails done here again.

I called and made the appointment a week in advance, asking very clearly what the cost of the haircut would be. I was told $22 for a trim. At the end of the appointment, she said she’d ended up cutting a little more than an inch and they charged me $48.

Critical: ValueI am from out-of-town, so I relied on the reviews for choosing a salon. I won’t name the stylist, but my experience wasn’t even close to what I had hoped for. I requested an all-over color. I specifically asked for a medium brown, not black. I ended up with jet black hair. I know that it was an accident, but she got hair color on my shirt too. I had asked for an approximate price when I made my appointment, and was told $68 over the phone. I was ultimately charged $118 after she offered and I accepted that she blow dry my hair (no style). I thought that was customary after a color so as to see its true color? Nothing was said about the exorbitant up-charge for taking less than 10 minutes to dry it. I wouldn’t return if I lived local, and am so thankful that its only color, which will hopefully fade soon. So thankful that I didn’t get a trim/cut. On a positive note, my stylist was very sweet and kind. Have been going to Sheer Unity for several years now and get compliments on my hair all the time. My hair is short and slightly curly and Kristina gives a fabulous cut. Her appointment times are always accurate and that is important to me with a busy schedule. Nothing worse than waiting way past your appointment time to even get started. I have experienced that at other salons so I appreciate her respect of her clients time. I do recommend scheduling appointments in advance of season as her services are in high demand and book up quickly.
