I went to Shear Transitions II after an inexperienced hairstylist at a different salon did a terrible job. My hair was patchy, yellow, and had thick highlights that just looked awful. I had an important event the next day and considered cancelling altogether because it was that bad. Kayla and Jill are amazing people. When I first met them, I was in tears because I didn’t have an appointment booked. I just felt hopeless. It was just before closing, but Kayla took one look at my head and told me she just couldn’t let me leave with my hair looking the way it did. It really was that bad. They both made me feel at ease while Kayla took her time fixing my hair. Jill also helped while we talked and I found myself laughing at the situation for the first time. I felt so much better than when I came in and I’m beyond grateful to find such passionate, caring, and experienced hair stylists that understand that it’s not just about the hair, it’s about so much more than that. If you need foils done, Kayla is amazing! She is so experienced. She really took her time with the toner as well, which sometimes can feel a bit rushed at other places I’ve been to. She also chose the perfect neutral blonde color for my olive skin tone and it was so beautiful! Not too yellow or grey. She was respectful and honest with me when I suggested adding some silver, saying it wouldn’t look right. I’m so glad I accepted her recommendation because the color was simply perfect and exactly what I wanted! She even gave me a quick trim (despite the time) and went the extra mile to make everything look so much better. When I looked in the mirror, I couldn’t believe she was able to make such a transformation in that amount of time! It was so much better than I could have hoped for. I couldn’t stop smiling when I saw the results. If you need foils done (or anything really), you can trust Kayla and Jill will do an amazing job.

I have been going here for several years. I see Jen, and she is wonderful. She gives a good haircut and will give recommendations of new styles for you if you’re interested. This is a fairly new location for them. It is very comfortable, a small-ish shop with usually three stylists working. The shop is always clean and does have a restroom for clients.

My girlfriends & I recently switched to this salon for updos. We cannot say enough about how clean, professional, beautiful this salon is. All employees are awesome. No snotty, waste of money stylists here. Their honesty about what you can do with your hair is right on. We even got our boyfriends to go here as well. The interior is modern & what we dream a salon should look like. A++++ experiences!
