Brooke is truly outstanding and so talented. I drive an hour to get my hair done with her because she really is SO worth it! The color and cut turned out even better than I could’ve imagined. She made my hair look and feel so full, shiny and just over all healthy. I have gotten soo many compliments on my hair since she did it. Not only did she do an amazing job on my hair, but she also has the most vibrant, genuine and kind personality! She makes the whole experience a million times better and more comfortable. I absolutely recommend going to Brooke! I can’t say enough good things, she truly exceeded my expectations.

I love the concept. You can have your hair done and buy a cute outfit to go with it. They serve coffee snacks including mimosas. It’s awesome. The clothes are laid out nicely and the customer service is really friendly. Shear stands boldly in contrast to TJMAX right next door.

This was my first time at Shear THairapy. Booking an appointment was easy. The staff was welcoming when I came in. I hadn’t had a cut in over 4 months since my regular stylist left town. Courtney was awesome! I love my new cut. She talked me through it and gave me several options. Place is clean and has great energy.

I am so impressed by Shear Thairapy. I live in Chevy Chase and am around overpriced and mediocre salons, one of which I paid $500 for hair dye that washed out within 3 days. I texted a friend who always has gorgeous hair and she recommended Lauren. I am so thrilled with how my hair turned out. Everyone was so friendly, it was a relaxed environment and not crowded. I will go back until we move away from this area! Highly recommend and I’ve gotten so many compliments in the past 12 hours!

I’ve been going here for about a year, and I never want to go anywhere else. I’ve been going to Lauren, and she’s absolutely amazing. She got me exactly where I wanted from a brunette to a blonde. Even if I can’t make it in for my regular 6-8 week timeframe, somehow my hair still manages to remain a beautiful color. I receive endless compliments even on just my haircut alone. She’s super knowledgeable, very sweet, and always has a smile on. For how long my hair is and how much I have, I also never feel like I’m there for hours on end. Lauren does an incredible job each and every time. I refuse to go anywhere else or be with another stylist. All of the other stylists there are great too! If Lauren weren’t available, I’d be very confident and comfortable with any of their other stylists. Their new location is beyond amazing – it’s a full boutique with beautiful handpicked clothing too to shop from! Highly recommend! Better than any DC boutique salon out there hands down – I’ve tried them all.
