Started going to Ellie my freshman year of college after a terrible dorm room hair dye experience because I didn’t have a hairdresser in Boone yet. She absolutely saved my hair & didn’t once judge me or criticize my hairs condition! Five years later I still make the drive from Asheville to get my hair done by her! She listens to what you want & delivers, all while making sure your hair doesn’t break off your head. Charlotte the owner, is also the definition of a hard working girl boss! Absolutely adore Shear Shakti! Started going to Ellie my freshman year of college after a terrible dorm room hair dye experience because I didn’t have a hairdresser in Boone yet. She absolutely saved my hair & didn’t once judge me or criticize my hairs condition! Five years later I still make the drive from Asheville to get my hair done by her! Positive: Cleanliness, Professionalism, QualityI have enjoyed going to Shear Shakti for myself in the past and recently took my 3 year old. We had a very positive experience. The stylist was great with him and made him feel very comfortable. And he got a great haircut! I also appreciated their covid protocols. We were asked to wash hands when we arrived, everyone was masked, and the chairs are all more than 6 feet apart. I have enjoyed going to Shear Shakti for myself in the past and recently took my 3 year old. We had a very positive experience. The stylist was great with him and made him feel very comfortable. They are very professional, talented, easy-going, and all-around fun. I had done a couple of trials (indecisive bride over here) and each time I was met with kindness and understanding! I cannot tell you how many times I and my mom emailed/called Jamie and she was always so quick to respond and patient. Jamie, Serena, and Tara were our main team and they are wonderful! We got married at The Overlook Barn and the entire team came to us and got me, 9 bridesmaids, 2 moms, and a grandmother ready in no time! Tara is crazy good at make-up and we all looked stunning and still looked like us! They all did our hair and was able to make everyone feel beautiful. Serena is so calming, and my hair had never looked better. I and my bridesmaids felt beautiful the entire day and night. Shear Shakti made it such a magical day! They requested that I wash my hands and then checked my temperature before having me wait just a moment for Serena’s space to get the extra cleaning. Serena is a wondrous person, and the shampooing I got was something I didn’t know I needed but it was oh so good! Of course the masks make it strange (this was my first time in a salon) but Serena was meticulous with the soap and water. She talked to me, she laughed with me, and she somehow communicated genuinely right tho=rough the mask. They requested that I wash my hands and then checked my temperature before having me wait just a moment for Serena’s space to get the extra cleaning. Serena is a wondrous person, and the shampooing I got was something I didn’t know I needed but it was oh so good!
