I decided to use a new salon closer to myself on Fort Hood. I posted in the Fort Spouses page looking for someone to do my hair. I got a message from Kaitlyn Browning (who is not a spouse) saying she could definitely give me the hair color and style I was looking for. I get to my appt at 9am, and I didn’t leave until 5:03pm. Why? Well unfortunately my hair was fried off. My hair was literally melting away in my hand and her hand. I cried and she cried but I picked myself up and was still so nice. I let her know we were going to make it through this. I smiled even when I wanted to cry. I still PAID her $75 and even gave a $10 tip. I also bought $44 worth of hair products to FIX my hair at home. I wasn’t going to leave a review until I went to go send Kaitlyn a picture of my hair with makeup on to cheer her up, only to realize she had deleted me off of Facebook… She didn’t reach out to make sure that I was still doing okay or anything. I will say- The owner of the salon is super sweet, she gives great deals on hair products. Brittany is the other stylist and she is also super sweet.

I found Shear Perfection while looking for a place to get my hairstyled for my daughters wedding. I had pretty much given up on finding someone who could work with my curly hair and get me the style I wanted.
