I called and asked for lavender hair, they rushed me off the phone and was very rude. When I got there they said they didn’t have lavender. And the older lady was picking on my hair as they figured out what to do. So rude! So they mixed a bunch of colors to make some sort of rainbow. I said ok as long as it’s not blue because I’ve had blue and wasn’t a big fan. Was there till 8pm and the color turned out blue with splotches of purple. It was horrible. Didn’t style my hair I left with wet hair and felt like a burden because they scheduled me so late. It was horrible and left feeling worse than when I came in!

Shear Motion is doing a great job keeping everything so clean and organize through this pandemic! Even before I started getting my hair done at Shear Motion, I knew someone else who got their hair done and Judy always did a wonderful job with her hair! Erin at Shear Motion is my go to hair stylist! I have been going to her for years and she is the only one that I trust with my hair. Going from dark hair to blonde with full length hair isn’t an easy task but Erin always does it beautifully – it looks natural and she does it without damaging my hair. I even had my makeup done there recently by Maria and she also did a wonderful job! The atmosphere is great there and all of the ladies are so nice! I highly recommend Shear Motion!

I’ve had really bad experiences when going to other salons. I came into this salon and was very hesitant on letting anyone touch my hair. But Jolene was amazing. She was patient, and she made me feel comfortable and helped me decide on what I wanted to do with my hair. I do not live even close to this hair salon, but I will make the drive from buffalo and later on NYC to get my hair done here. Amazing staff!!

I had to change my rating as every time I go the staff is different. New change. Now with Covid restrictions lifted they can handle more customers. I was surprised when I went to cash out. Simple haircut, no shampoo on my balding head just went from $15 to $20. IMHO kind of a large jump in cost.

I am so disappointing in this salon. I have heard such great things about it and it was a complete let down. Besides the cost being much higher then I thought, a simple hair cut and ombre took 4 hours, which is insane! On top of that the Hairdresser was very unprofessional. I showed her a picture of what I wanted and she ignored the picture, told me I didn’t want what I asked for and argued with me for the almost 4 hours about what I wanted. I trust hairdressers, I know they know more than me but this was just rude. My hair is uneven in shape and color, worst of all I work in a professional setting and the hairdresser gave me highlighter pink and yellow hair, very far from what I asked for. I would love my money back or at least half of it because I am embarrassed to go to work like this. I just am so disappointing in this experience.
