Everyone is so nice here! And they send you birthday coupons! My kids absolutely love it here, and there are so many cool seats they can choose from while they watch kids shows and get their hair cut. The only place I will take my kids to get their hair done!

From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is fun. Children love it, the employees are great with the kids. Such a clever business model. The kids feel safe and welcome. Now he wants to come back every week, even when he doesn’t need a haircut. Lol. Fantastic business and I recommend Kids’ cuts

Had my first bad experience here. The website says they close at 3 on sundays. The door says they close at 4. I walked in at 230 to try and do a father son package with my son and I was told they couldn’t take any more customers today. I asked If they could just cut my son’s hair quick and was told she had just closed the register. It felt like they were rushing out to enjoy a bills Sunday instead of following their listed business hours and any sense of common customer service. I will not return with either of my children.

I have given this place a chance not once, not twice, but three times and they are nothing but snotty on the phone and in person.By all means do not ask them to repeat what they say to you on the phone because they immediately get rude. My first experience the girl at the front desk rolled her eyes at me when I asked to schedule another appointment. I should have known from they point it was nothing but rude girls who have no respect for the parents or THE CHILDREN that come in there. Absolutely disgusting. NEVER again.

I have been coming to this Shear Madness for years, we usually use Connie and we highly recommend her, but tonight I had the most awful experience of my life! A new girl we have never used before cut my son’s hair, she was very rude to us from the moment we walked in, I’m not sure if it’s because it was 6:18 & they close at 7 but I had explained I tried calling for days prior and could never get through! Then we requested Connie & the woman seemed mad about that too & ignorantly said Connie was out of town and she was the only one there & thats why she didnt answer the phone! She could have turned us down rather then rudly taking us…but that wasn’t even the worst of it!!! After receiving a horrible haircut and spending 72 dollars in the gift shop….this woman had called the cops on me while I was in there with my 3 kids and told the officer she was worried for the safety of my kids! When walking out of the store I was immediately interrogated by an officer who might I ad was a complete gentleman and he stated to me directly that I didn’t smell like alcohol nor did I seem off to him or did my kids seem in any danger to him!!! This woman completely profiled me & I believe fabricated these lies because she was mad we came in so late requesting Connie and were upset she wasn’t there, but at no point was I rude to this woman & was greatful she was willing to take us, I even thanked her several times for taking us so late and stated to her that she saved picture day for my son which is in the morning & we even gave her a $20 tip!!!! I have never felt so discriminated in my life! I told the officer to give me a breathalyzer and whatever else he wanted but to make sure he showed THE KAREN inside that I was not guilty of anything! We love Shear madness and will be coming back when Connie returns but I prey no other mother has to go through what I went through tonight with this incredibly judgmental rude woman!

My child loves this place! The ladies who work there are wonderful! Everytime we go there my child’s hair looks great afterwards. My daughter loves sitting in the train.

The staff is so friendly and caring! Nikki and Audrey did an incredible job on my daughters ear piercing. They were both so patient and made sure everything was perfect. I would absolutely recommended and will be back!!

Critical: ProfessionalismWhile the Erie County Health Department does not navigate the challenges you certainly have in maintaining a small business, however, the ECHD is primarily responsible for the prevention and control of infectious disease in the community. Therefore, I take stock in what they have to say especially when it comes to the safety of our children. Whether their recommendations and guidelines are “founded in science” or not, I do not seek my own council simply because statistics are not yet available. I’m happy to hear you adhere to strict sanitation procedures but the concerned mother in the previous post did not complain about that. It might be a best practice to seek the advice of qualified health physicians who encourage us to socially distance our young ones from unmasked adults. I will ALWAYS err on the side of caution, another best practice. While the Erie County Health Department does not navigate the challenges you certainly have in maintaining a small business, however, the ECHD is primarily responsible for the prevention and control of infectious disease in the community. …More

Critical: ProfessionalismFor an establishment that is catered to children, they aren’t doing their due diligence to keep our children safe during this pandemic, not in my opinion at least.During my daughter’s haircut the unmasked hairstylist asked to remove my daughter’s mask because it kept popping off. I APPRECIATED the honesty when she informed me that she wasn’t vaccinated. I chose to keep the mask on for my child’s safety. Things clearly got awkward after that. I chose to stay because my daughter kept her mask on and she was excited about the haircut and the highly anticipated ear piercing.Yes, there was lots of sanitizing happening when I was there, but I just can’t get over the fact that they would even think to put a child’s health at risk.JUST PUT ON A SHOW and at least PRETEND you care about their health at a CHILDREN’S HAIRCUTTING ESTABLISHMENT. Everyone knows this wave of the pandemic is hitting our vulnerable children. The only way children are protected right now is by wearing masks, social distancing, and hand washing. They don’t have the option right now to be vaccinated. It is our jobs as adults to keep them safe. Please don’t ask to remove their masks, if you do, make the hairstylist wear a mask. Something.I have read the owner’s responses to other negative reviews and all I see is defensiveness, perhaps just use this experience and learn from it and make empathetic changes for all different kinds of future clients.I won’t be returning, which is a shame because this could be a really fun experience for both parents and children.Service: HairstylingFor an establishment that is catered to children, they aren’t doing their due diligence to keep our children safe during this pandemic, not in my opinion at least. …More
