This was my 2nd time visiting this salon. The establishment itself is probably the only impressive thing. The staff are friendly and will try to achieve what you’re wanting, but I was disappointed with their level of expertise. I paid $55 after tax and tip for a “trim”. A wash and blow dry were included. A reasonable price, but the experience was stressful. The girl parted my hair straight down the middle even though she asked me how do I part my hair. When I noticed that my hair was uneven, she acted like she couldn’t see it. I had to instruct her. It took another Stylist to step in because I was visibly upset. The other Stylist pretended to not notice the exact pieces of hair. I know I have baby thin hair, but if I can see it’s uneven I know a professional can. She finally evened it out, but not without making me feel like a ‘Karen’ with uncomfortable silence. I tried to break the ice with the original Stylist when she returned to blow dry. She wasn’t bitter, but things were awkward after that. I had mentioned at the start of the appointment that I would be interested in a root touch up. The salon is super busy, which is understandable. The Stylist doing my hair was very quick to let me know there was no availability that day nor was she interested in inviting me back. Probably for the best. They don’t seem to like me.

Shear Intensity is an amazing salon! I live near Carbondale/Glenwood and have been struggling to find a hair salon I trust just because I am so picky. I did a google search and found Shear Intensity. I researched their website and social media to see if they would potentially be a good fit. I booked an appointment with Kendra and had the best experience. She listened to what I wanted and was able to make it happen. I actually left the salon feeling happy about my hair (which has been rare for me). I highly recommend Kendra and Shear Intensity! This salon is so cute and clean. They sell nice products and cute clothes/accessories! There are many other services offered as well. Check them out :=)

This is the worst haircut I’ve got in rifle. First off, the hairstylist waited until she was almost done to tell me there was a $15 added fee for a 0 fade, this mind you, was before she ever took a guard off the clipper. When i agreed i asked why and she said because it takes so much longer. Then within 4 minutes she was done. The whole cut took under 20 minutes. She was not ready when I came in at my scheduled appointment time, then she had another stylist come by and ask if she was busy, she said no and then told me she was going to help her real quick shed be right back almost 10 minutes of sitting in a chair in a corner by myself later she comes back to start the cut. Nothing is even on either side, it drops like a mullet in the back and the top is 3 different lengths from front to back. It was a horrible experience i do not recommend this place at all for a men’s cut. Maybe they do right by the ladies. But if you are a dude looking for a clean fade avoid this place at all costs. I always tip $20 and I still tipped $20 usually I don’t regret it. I do however feel like this was a total waste of $60.

Positive: Cleanliness, Professionalism, Punctuality, Quality, ValueI never would have thought that I would drive 40 minutes to Rifle, Colorado (of all places) every six weeks to get my hair done. Christine is absolutely worth it though! My hair has never been blonder or healthier. I’ve also been getting “sew in” hair extensions, and again, couldn’t be more impressed. The “sew in” extensions cause minimal damage, are easy to hide, and give the option of length or volume, all while growing out evenly. As a former “tape in” extension user, I’ll never go back. I received a lactic acid chemical peel from Rachael yesterday. I had never had one before so I wasn’t sure what to expect, but Rachael answered every question I had. She is extremely knowledgeable and you can tell she is passionate about skin care. She informed me with each step how it would feel and nothing came as a surprise. 24 hours later, my skin feels smooth and like I had the best exfoliation treatment ever. I look forward to seeing the full results. Shear Intensity is hands down the best in the valley for all of your beauty needs.

Julia is always very helpful with items I am interested in. She is very knowledgeable and helpful. I love all the staff there and this is the only place I will go in Rifle!
