I came to shear genius on a whim and my haircut with Dana did not disappoint! She listened to exactly what I wanted and gave me a beautiful cut. She is so knowledgeable, especially with my wavy short style. I got so many compliments the next day. The staff was super friendly and accommodating to my last minute needs. I’m someone who is always looking for something new and modern to do to my hair and she can do it all! I have been going to Shear Genius since 2018 when I moved to Norwalk from Los Angeles. Finding a new hairdresser is always challenging but I was delighted with Shear Genius from the start. Brooke is not only a great stylist but also incredibly customer-focused. She always asks how the last haircut worked out to find out what, if anything should be changed. She is efficient and runs on time (something I very much appreciate). During the pandemic, I have been so appreciative of the care she has taken to protect her customers. I am grateful that she has minimized the risk for all her clients with particular concern for her older clientele (like me). If you want a salon that does a great job and truly cares about you, find your way to Shear Genius.

Shear Genius Salon is a great hair salon. Brooke has seen me through many different styles over the years and I am always impressed. Whenever I walk out of there, I feel like a million bucks. The cuts and style she gives me with my curly hair are amazing, and she’s taught me how to style it appropriately and so easily. The best part is she walks you through the entire styling process so it’s easy to recreate at home. Would recommend them to anyone in the area!

A great new experience given it was my first time there! I was looking for a new colorist and was matched with Dana. She took her time consulting me and trying to understand what kind of balayage look I was going for. My hair is very dark and wasn’t lightening enough – which Dana also mentioned I should be aware of. Nothing some blue shampoo couldn’t fix and I love my new look. I need to come back for a few more lightening sessions. I also added the Olaplex treatment to my hair treatment and it made my hair super soft!! They’re super kind people and are really customer-oriented. I can see why there are so many regulars who come here as they treat everyone with the most positive and cheery attitude.

Shear Genius is a gem established in Norwalk! The staff are friendly and attentive and make every effort to ensure your experience is professional and satisfactory. I personally do not trust just anyone with cutting and styling my hair but Brooke has never disappointed. I always leave with great style and added recommendations for upkeep and care.
