The woman was very nice, however she butchered my hair. I showed her a picture of what I wanted and asked her to do it a little longer than what was in the picture and to make it feathered or layered. She was not super chatty and I tried to make chit chat to make it less awkward. Then I look up and most of my hair is all cut off! I’m like omg please stop cutting .I had to tell her to stop cutting my bangs and she did not feather it so it has blunt edges with the hair cut. Never again. I’m sure the other girls there are great but not this one. She cut my hair shorter than what was in the picture that I originally showed her. At least it will grow out and my hair grows fast but still that’s money that I would not have spent for that.

I’ve been getting my hair cut by Michaela for years. She does a great job. She’s wonderful about checking in with me about what style I want and what maintenance that store might require. She helped me donate my long hair for wigs and always gives me confidence in my new cut.

I called on 6/4/20 to make an appointment for a hair cut & highlight on 6/6/20. I asked for Lisa Boyne to do my hair. I went to get my hair done, I told the woman who I thought was Lisa Coyne, I wanted the hair on my neck in back shaved to keep it off my neck. Then I wanted the sides starting in the back coming forward to my chin, shortest in the back getting longer in the front. Inside I ended up with a page boy cut that I am not pleased with. Not only that I heard the other hairdresser say Lisa Coyne wasn’t there today, because her son was graduating in Gorham. So why make me an appt. with her when she wasn’t going to be there. Then to top it all off the hairdresser didn’t make sure I was in the sink right so that when she was done washing my hair the back of me was soaking wet. What a waste of money.

Positive: Professionalism, QualityI set here the day before a family wedding. I asked that they just trim the back but that I wanted to sides to feather as it went back . Also to.art it in the middle. She then started cutting mohair and I noticed that she was parting it on the side instead of the middle. I mentioned it only yo b told that it didnt matter were I prted it that the cut was the same for both . So I shut up and waited for her to finish. when she was finished I was left with a left sided partand no feathering of any kind. I complained a d was told that I w wrong and that this is feathering. So I paid and left. When I got home I noticed that my sideburns wernt the same length in addition to the 100% lack of feathering. Very unhappy so I returned the next day and spoke to h3 owner of the salon. She tried to blame how I hold my head and then told me that her employee was at fault and was the only person that could refund my money . This is the owner mind you . I finally had to threaten with the BBB. She then gave me a refund and told me to never return.I set here the day before a family wedding. I cannot speak for women but I can honestly say if you want a GREAT men’s haircut try this place. I’ve been a client of Michaela’s for a while now but when she’s been unavailable I’ve also had my hair cut by several other stylists, never had anything but a great cut and experience.
