I came here for the first time yesterday, and had shealynn do my hair. My hair was not in good shape and it looks and feels amazing now. She was very nice and the whole salon had a very good vibe. Today was my second time coming to Ivy Lane and I’m sad to say the experience was not nearly as good as the first time. I went in for a wash and style with April and the end result was great but the professionalism was lacking. I was informed at the end when I went to pay that the price jumped up $10 and that I would also be charge extra for the length of my hair, ie the extra time. Had I known all this before I booked I would have gone with a different salon. I also find it VERY odd to charge someone for extra time when my appointment did not start on time and my hairstylist had to continuously stop to answer the phone. After tipping 20% I spent over $50 on a wash and style. For this price you can go to a much more updated and clean (something I noticed was lacking this time) salon. I also think that discussing how one stylist came in hung over, how they’re extremely short staffed, etc isn’t the most professional look and doesn’t really instill confidence. There was talk that the owner is not around very often/likes to take off a lot and I think I saw that in today’s visit. Sadly, I won’t be back.

The service was great when I was there, was a bit pricey but worth the service. The problem was when I received a text about an appointment and I replied back to cancel, there was no number to call, just the text. The next day I got an 85.00 bill. When I called to explain that I was traveling, what had happen, and apologize there was a very hard “it is what it is” attitude. I am super sorry about this and will not go back. I understand I misses But I did try to advise by replying, if you are going to send a customer a text, give them an option on the reply.

Ivy Lane is amazing! I had about 9 people come with me for my wedding hair and makeup. The whole staff was perfect and was fast. We got to the salon around 7 and was done by 10:30. We were way a head of schedule! It made me feel more relaxed! I would recommend Ivy Lane to anybody getting hair and makeup done for their wedding!
