I am extremely disappointed with the service that I received from this location but stylist Dee. I was not pleased with the style that I was given but leaving out I told myself I would just take it down and wear my hair loose. Upon taking it loose my hair is still very wet and the parting is no where near neat and the locs are already unraveling. I’ve only been gone 30 minutes from the location. This is the worse experience I’ve had and I will not be back. Please do not waste your time with this stylist.

I had a great experience at Shea Locs with Erika. She provided me with a color and crochet instant loc install as well as a half up rope twist style. She was very friendly and communicative about all that I should know as we went along, and she made sure everyone else as far as clients and staff were okay and comfortable with the service alongside my style. She was very generous and stopped at each stage to give me a mirror and make sure I liked the direction everything was going in. I really appreciated her company and conversation while I was there and I would definitely recommend others come to this shop and have their locs cared for by the amazing women that I met yesterday. She even brought me a smoothie when I showed up in the morning and was understanding of a car issue I had that caused me to be 30 minutes late and didn’t make me reschedule. I appreciate her so much.

I walked into the salon to book an appt., the receptionist was very rude e.g. rolling eyes when I would ask “ignorant questions” . So now I’m uncomfortable with this person, I book the appointment for the next day w/credit card, she mentions that an additional step is required… dare I ask for more detail??? Heh!!! I get email in the morning that the appointment was cancelled… ridiculous! I’m like why couldn’t we have took care of everything while I was there?! I think it was a covid disclaimer that was pending… really!? smh. They really need some competition right next to them so they won’t treat customers like this.

Cherry started my locs and i like how they were coming thru, but i got my hair retwisted for the second time by the owner the CEO and she cut my hair. She should of have ask if i wanted my hair cut she called it a trimmed she cut my starter locs off and it looks like i just started my journey. Im so upset i been crying because i was skeptical having someone else do my hair. I thought by the owner doing it i would not have a problem but it was worst. Idk how im going to get thru this. Its ugly now i dont like the way they look now. She needs to ask ppl first if they want other services done before just doing it then telling what you did.

Loved it here! My first time at this business, my first time in a year going to a professional stylist. I’m so glad I came here and started the new year off RIGHT. Ms. Nolette has amazing talent and great customer service. I attached some photos of the retwist with loc petals style she gave me. She gave me exactly what I asked for and even provided suggestions and advice. The atmosphere is super warm and friendly, the space is clean and bright, the prices are affordable and I felt comfortable. I will definitely be returning. Thanks Ladies !!

I will never go back….Period…. I have always done my own hair. braids, Crochet loc’s, quick weave etc…..But for my birthday I wanted to get it Loc’s professionally done. I paid half up front $75. Then waited a month. The girl who was suppose to do my hair got fired. Didn’t know until I’m more then half way done. I went on father’s day so I figured that she had plans. when I booked the appointment I didn’t realized it was father’s day. The Girl was like you should start with two hand twist to start your loc’s I said ok since she’s the professional. when she finished she was like if you want a style it will be more. Mind you I put 75 down then another 75 to walk back in the door. then another 50 just to get the twist that she said would work out best for my hair. That’s 200 for something that I have done several times when I crochet loc’s in my own hair. So in order for her to style my hair it would be a extra 50. so now I’m at $250. at this point I didn’t want to keep giving my money away. When she finished she was like ok well that’s it. I had to put my scarf back on my head because I was so embarrassed. The girl was like yeah put that back on as If I didn’t pay for you to do my hair. When I asked her how do I style it or what do you recommend. She said I wore a wig the first year. I walked out the mall feeling used, robbed of my hard working money and hurt because when you leave a salon you supposed to walk out feeling good about yourself. Instead I walked out feeling ashamed, belittled, not worthy, robbed ,embarrassed and broke. ITS ONLY FOR PEOPLE WHO ALREADY HAVE LONG DREADS. THAT THEY DID’NT START.

I have been going to Shea Locs for about 6 months and it has been a great experience. The staff seems to all get along very well. The front desk person is always polite and helpful. I rarely have to wait once I arrive for my appointment. Noellete is the stylist I see and she has great technique and attention to detail. And I love the music they play inside; it’s a vibe.
