Originally from Boston, but I’ve made Nashville my home. 14 years in the Beauty Industry; the first 2 years of my career training under Celebrity Hairstylist Darryl Allen of New York. Eagerly always learning new trends & keeping up to date on current education. I specialize in all Hair Design & Organic Hair Coloring for both women & men. With a focus on Pixie & Razor Cuts. Blowouts & Finishing are included in all Design services. Color clientele consist of; Grey Blending/Silver Transitioning, Root Touch Ups, Root Melts, Lived in Color, Balayage, Free-Hand Painting, & Fashion Colors. Above all, Healthy Hair! I have NEVER had a bad experience at Salon Sol (formerly Family Edge). The staff is exceptionally personable and Sharon is a short hair wizard. Everyone I have brought to her has made her their permanent stylist. Great atmosphere and fun people…the wine and coffee are a nice touch also.

Made an appointment after driving by a few times. Little concerned because there was only one stylist and no one else but Sharon put me at ease once she started working on my hair. It’s hard to find stylists who are good with short hair but Sharon knew exactly how to get the best out of mine. I will be back!

She had a few tricks to solve some of the issues with my hair others just tried to cover up… and in half the time. Love Sol, love the staff and love my hair!

Ineptitude—That’s the word of the day made in whole by Salon Sol (also called Family’s Edge for those of you also lost looking for this joke of a salon that has two names). Called ahead of time to ensure they were accepting walk-ins and that they offered “hard wax” and not just “soft.” That part went smooth…I walked in but THAT IS ALL THAT WENT SMOOTH. They didn’t offer hard wax, the main stylist new nothing of her trade or products, and made excuses about not even knowing what hard wax was while her new hire ripped my skin off before I could even ask what the hell she was putting on my face. She gave no warning before ripping the wax/paper off and ignored my mother as she questioned what she was doing applying paper if it was hard wax. She never held my skin taught and acted as if she’d never waxed any body part before. As my lip started to bleed, they offered excuse after excuse, saying that, “it is hard—it comes hard and we melt it.” NO WAY, TEACH ME MORE, SENSEI. Even as we were walking out the door, they were still saying, “we’ve never even used hard wax before. Sorry about the lip, maybe take some Benadryl?” Cause as we all know, Benadryl clears up skin infections and heals wounds. But truly, only if you want joke service, annoying attitudes, and pain should you EVER COME HERE. Well, I’m off to buy some Benadryl (suggestion of all-knowing Salon Sol staff) for my blistered lip but you’d be better off to never some here. And it probably goes without saying, but if I could give this place “0” stars and it still be a review, I would.
