I took my daughter (age 6) here for a haircut last week and was very happy with the experience! Her stylist (Toni) took time at the beginning of the appointment to look at her hair and really talk to us about what we wanted, how we usually style her hair, etc. This stood in contrast to our old place where they only asked how many inches to cut off. My daughter loved this place as well and this was her review: “I like Sharkey’s because they have balloons, suckers, rings, and clips. They also have TVs so it entertains me while they are making my hair. And I also like their soap better.” When I asked her how many stars we should give on this review, between 1-5, she said “6! I love Sharkey’s!”

We came here for a first haircut years ago (which was great), then we tried a few places closer to home for convenience. We ended up right back at Sharkey’s! The staff is always friendly and welcoming, and Ms. Lupe does a phenomenal job taming my non-haircut-loving toddler. She’s patient and talented! We love Sharkey’s! Haircut

I can’t say enough wonderful things! They were very busy but still greeted us and got us in pretty quickly without an appointment. I guess I will be looking for somewhere else to take my kids for hair appointments. We had an appointment for 6pm. I got caught in traffic and arrived at 6:05. The hours posted say until 6:30 they are open. And they told me they even have a 10 minute grace period. I’m beyond mad because I drove as fast as I could to get here and then they literally lock the door and turn the sign off as I am getting my child out of the car. Seriously?! And conveniently have turned the computer off (I actually saw them doing this AS I WAS STANDING AT THE JUST LOCKED DOOR). I confirmed I was coming.

My son is 4 and just got his first haircut (outside of our home) at this Sharkey’s. He LOVED the race car chair and got to watch one of his favorite shows on Netflix while he got his haircut. Toni did a great job with his hair and made him feel comfortable the whole time. He’s been proud to show off his new haircut to his friends after leaving – highly recommend!

Made 2 last minute appointments 5 minutes before. Only a minute or two late beyond their 5 minute ‘grace’ period- no one was waiting and the 3 workers were not doing anything. We were turned away- they couldn’t be bothered to cut 2 boy haircuts. Went down the street to SportClips and had a much better experience.

Critical: QualityWe have been coming to Sharkey’s since my sons first haircut. This time we made an appointment ahead of time and received an email with instructions for COVID-19 practices (one of which was to call from the parking lot) which we followed. When we called the woman was so confused as to why I was calling/following the instructions. Next, the appointment was for a BOYS hair cut and my son loves the race cars! The confused woman decided to put us in the back room clearly set for girls painted pink with Barbie accessories. Because they’re overbooked and needed US to move because of “social distancing” despite the already apparent violation of at least a dozen people standing around in a small area. We weren’t given the option to wait or come back another time. Such a disappointment topped off with with a LOUD laundry dryer running in the “pink room”, cleaning equipment scattered around, and an uneven haircut! Poor customer service and not worth the extra money for the “fun-kids environment” we were used to getting!
