I’m so upset with my son’s hair cut. I told the lady over and over do not cut off all his beautiful curly hair. She did this. I said it so many times. Everyone in our neighborhood raves about this place, but I just don’t get it. Sure there is the fun atmosphere, but this is so bad. He was sitting on my lap. I told her so many times do not cut the curls. It’s too short. She just kept going.

I’m pretty disappointed with my sons recent haircut. It is so choppy, bluntly cut, and jagged in the front. All the way around his head you can see the lines where she cut. It is not blended at all. My son is young (17m) so he was crying, but he was not flailing or moving around so there is no excuse I can think of for this result. If I come back to this place, I will make sure we see a different stylist.

First know that you should make an apt. I have a 2 year old who HATES haircuts. We figured we would give this place a go; it’s a little more expensive than a standard barber but definitely worth the extra $$. They have cars for kids to sit in (my son immediately hated it) and chairs in the back if your kid ends up being like mine. TVs at every station are what made the world of a different. My son locked in on Paw Patrol and the woman was able to give him the best haircut (this was his 4th). The best way to describe the person cutting his hair was “patiently quick.” She was patient when she needed to be and made quick work when my son was distracted again.

Amina is the best. I’ve let other hairdressers cut my son’s hair, but always come back to Amina. I will never switch him to anyone else. She listens to what haircut you want and is so warm towards kids. I love the ambiance of this place. It’s a great place for kids to get their haircuts!

The only place we take our kids for haircuts! My son wouldn’t sit for anyone in a chair to get his haircut without fussing (didn’t like the feeling of the hair on his skin). The kids can customize their experience by choosing their car chairs and tv shows. The stylists are friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend Sharkeys in Lorton!

Disappointed in this place and their lack of customer satisfaction or care. We were 6 minutes late after traveling from pretty far to get here. They had already no showed us and then said we will go talk to the hairstylist to see, but the answer will be no. Took an additional 5-6 minutes to come back and say sorry our haircuts are only 15 min long so we won’t see you today. No attempt to accommodate or active interest in rescheduling so they must not need our business. They should atleast post signs or indicate in emails what they late policy is. Will be looking for a closer and better location.

Last time I was there with my boy Martha did an awful job, we were her last client for the day, 5:30 pm appointment and she was so rushed, she never listened to my requests and almost left my son bold, he had such a beautiful fast growing hairs before the haircut, now his hairs barely growing and look very uneven, looks like she didn’t really care about results. Will never go back, very disappointed
