I love this salon. I am in from TX and staying in Taos for a couple of months and needed to get my hair cut and highlighted. Monty gave me the best haircut and color I’ve had in years – perhaps the best of my life. My natural hair color is a dark blonde, light brown but I typically get color as a blonde. Monty listened to what I wanted and knew exactly what to do to pull off the color I was going for – which is so rare. My color looks so natural, thanks to Monty! He also gave me a fantastic haircut – truly one of the best I’ve ever had. In addition, the staff at Shank are lovely and interiors are so inspiring and fun. Overall, I had a wonderful experience and I told Monty I may just have to fly into Taos to get my hair done from now on! 🙂

Easily the best haircut and color and overall experience I can ever remember having. Clark is like a psychic, he listened to what I wanted, looked at the pinterest pictures I brought in, explained without judgment that the picture I had was going to take way more time and upkeep than I ever want to spend on hair. Then he worked with me to figure out something that would actually work for my real life and made it happen. The prices are high but you get what you pay for. I’ll definitely be back to see Clark at Shank again.
